We are planning to go this same wk next yr(2010)--how were the crowd levels....we are concerned about school fall breaks. We usually go first wk of Oct. and crowd levels (except for weekends of course) are fairly light for Disney standards.

I was at MNSSHP on Tuesday as well. The crowds were okay. I was also at Epcot on Wednesday and Soarin ran out of FP at about 5:30. The only day that was insane was Friday night at WS. It was packed. I suspect a lot of locals were there. We were there 10-18-24. Here is a little more of a detailed idea of our impressions:
Sunday, 10/18 - Studios - Pretty Busy that day which kinda surprised me for whatever reason. TOT had 45 minute waits and RnRC had 60 minute waits by the time we arrived mid-afternoon. TOT down to 5 minutes by later in the night and RnRC down to 10 minutes. Went bac and forth between them for 90 minutes and rode both 8 times or so. TSM was 60+ all day. GMR a walk on, Star Tours, walk on.
Monday, 10/19 - MK - Really not bad. Arrived at 9 and by 11, had done Splash and BTM twice, POTC, JC, HOP, HM, Country Bears and IASW. Crowds and minimal enough that we finished most all we wanted to do by mid-afternoon and went back to see Spectro that night. That and Wishes were crowded but not awfully so.
Tuesday, 10/20 - Typhoon Lagoon - Walked on to most slides. Rented a Beachomber Shack which we loved but there was plenty of seating available
- MNSSHP - Main Street was a mess but once you got away from there, we all thought it was a great way to hit all the highlights again in no time flat. We were allowed to ride Splash over and over without interruption and same for Buzz. Even better after the second parade
Wednesday - Epcot - moderate crowd levels. Soarin was way too long as always but everything else was easy. Even Test Track was only 20 minutes in mid-afternoon but we did the single rider line. No problem getting a good viewing spot for Illuminations with 15 minutes to spare.
Thursday - Animal Kingdom - My nephew and I did Everest 6 times in the first hour of park opening and had breakfast. Dinosaur was 10 minutes, Safari was around 10, Tought to Be a Bug, walked in with minimal wait. Walked straight on to Kali river. Always seems crowded walking around here to me but the waits showed otherwise. The longest wait we had was 20 minutes for Primeval Whirl.
Went back to the Studios that night for Fantasmic - total nightmare for the first show. Not a single seat left I don't think. Before we went in to see that, we walked on to TOT and waited 10 minutes for RnRC
Friday - Studios again - Got in to do TSM twice with 30 minute waits early on and also a fast pass before it went to 60+ and stayed there all day. Similar waits as previously posted for all else.
- MNSSHP again - a much bigger crowd but we had guests with us this time that joined up for the last half of the trip. Again, got away from Main Street and not bad. Arrived at 7 and had POTC, BTM, Splash, HM, IASW, Pan, Snow, Pooh,Philharmagic, Tea Cups and Buzz done with little waits for most except probably Pan. Lines for anything to do with characters were very long that night. Skipped the fireworks. Second parade was moderately crowded.
Saturday, October 24 - Flew Home. We were going to go do some things in the parks but were Disneyed out.
