Crowd Level: Wk before or after July 4th

We are planning a family trip for the summer and dates are flexible but have to be after June 22nd. This time we plan to visit WDW and Universal. Is there a big crowd difference between the week of June 24th vs July 8th? Also considering staying off-site for the first time w/family of 5 to keep costs somewhat down (we were just there Thanksgiving Break). Looking for suggestions for that too, thansk!

Love being there for the 4th!!!! Crowds are big the few days before and after. It's your typical large summer crowd otherwise. If being there on the 4th is possible, then do it!

We are doing the same. We are looking at Reunion. They have a 3 bedroom condo with 3 bath for 1000-1300 for 7 nights. It is about 15-20 minutes out I have been told. It is a 5 star resort with lots to do.
