Crowd level around Jan

Hello all!

I'm going to Disney World between Jan 8 - Jan 16 2009. How busy are those dates, just so I can be prepared...

January is generally a slower time so you will probably not experience a lot of crowds.

My boyfriend had gone to WDW Janunary 4th to the 12th back in 2006 and he said the crowds weren't bad. I think thats a good time because you miss the holiday rush but you still get the decorations (or so my bf said). I wanted to go in Janunary but I have decided October instead but I think you picked a great time.

I would be hesitant to arrive prior to school starting up again. Usually the week after the 1st?

I went this year from the 12th to the 19th. You might want to check out when Marathon is. I didn't really hinder us any, it just might make you rethink what park(s) to do that day, or in what order. SpongeScott on these boards is an expert with marathon:wave:
Overall, the week was great crowd-wise until the Friday before MLK weekend, when it got quite busy, especially at MK. I do recommend January crowd-wise!

I've been in Jan before and there were pretty much no crowds. We went the 2nd week.

Wish I could do that again this year but I'll be in residency so I cannot plan my vacation
