Critical Info about #Disney-Central

Without boring you with the technical/political side of things, there has been a split within the Newnet community. If you try to access the old way you will find a split.

We have relocated to a new server. All you need to do is change the server in mIRC. In mIRC click on FILE - SERVER - EDIT and tell it to look for:

irc.revolutionized.us

I will update with more information as things get sorted out. We will update guides once the dust settles.

When you are in a channel, look for Dsnyjedi, RU42, or popkid and then you know you are in the 'correct' one.

To get there start MIRC and type in these commands:

/server irc.irchighway.net 6669 [enter]
/join #disney-central [enter]

I'm technologically impaired. I tried this, but when I clikc FILE, the only options it gives me are Connect, Options, and Exit. What am I doing wrong?

It may be that you are not running Invision, or have a slightly different version.

Try going to Tools > Options which should open up the mIRC Options window.

From the Category pane on the left make sure you can see all the options below "Connect"

From these options select "Servers".

In the information on the right you should see IRC Server listed as "Newnet: Random Server". Click the "Edit" box below this which will cause yet another window to open - "Edit Server".

In the IRC Server box input irc.revolutionized.us then OK your way out of all the windows and try restarting the program. The restart may not be neccessary, but I did it.

Hopefully that will get you back on your feet.

UPDATE:

Wow, things are truely a mess. We are still working on sorting it out. Please tune into here for more information over the next 48-72 hours.

At times Newnet pulls itself back together and then falls apart again. We are probably going to find a new permanent home.

Sorry for the inconvience, we should have this all sorted out soon.
