Creations Shop opening this summer

I wonder if this is the beginning of a transtion to old school Epcot in a sense, where each of the pavilions will eventually get uniform signs with this font

I was wondering that myself while we were at Epcot this past Saturday. I also wonder if they will use the pavilion logos like they used to.

Hopefully the fact that they've expanded the font to include additional weights and miniscule/lower case characters will reduce the need to drift away from it.

Are they? I know there’s the flags at the entrance and Test Track’s and the Seas’ are in a few spots at their respective pavilions but I can’t think of any others.

Creations looks fine (good, even), but why the insistence on "shop"? It even looks tacked on to the sign as an afterthought.

Centorium fit EPCOT Center - Bold, futuristic, imaginative. Creations Shop fits with The Bob’s - Bland, boring, profit-driven. I know which one I’d pick.

This but updated and better theming that includes more of EPCOT itself along with the parks’ characters & Mickey & Friends in EPCOT themed clothing.

For the same reason they put "Gifts from Future World" under the Centorium sign and "Gifts with Character" under the Mouse Gear sign.

I think the more concise "Shop" actually gives the guest more credit that either of those past options and feels more contemporary in its brevity. What I fear is that guests will find it too cryptic and it will go back to the earlier variations on "Gift Shop."

Well, you certainly can't miss it! Probably could have scaled the size down by about a third if I'm honest.

I also see LED uplights are installed all along the sign ledge so I expect there will be dynamic or color change lighting above the entrances.

When they put a giant old school light up sign that scrolls "welcome to Epcot Center" on it, then I will be impressed.

"Creations" just makes me think it's that store where the robot airbrushes your design on a t-shirt. Also Centorium was awesome! Disney merch is so boring, the opposite of "creations-itive." I've been ordering a lot of fan art lately.
