Hi,
Has anyone been in the Pirate Rooms at CRB? We are going to WDW in April 2011, and I am a HUGE Pirates fan. I am wondering if the extra $$$ is worth it. Any info. would be appreciated :) Thanks

We have friends who stayed in a pirate room last year. I saw the pics and asked them all about it. The rooms are really cool as the beds are shaped like pirate ships, the refrigerator is shaped like a barrel, and the dressers, i believe are shaped like crates. Either way, the theming is awesome.

Here is the problem. First, they are wicked expensive compared to standard CBR rooms. Second, the pirate rooms are some of the furthest from the main lobby. So, you are basically paying extra for the themeing. We are going in November and staying at CBR and with the knowledge from our friends, we opted for standard rooms as, even with a three year old, I did not feel the extra cost was worth a little decoration and a longer walk to the lobby.

Just my opinion. When we are in WDW, we are in the Parks 80% of the trip, so we really use the room for sleep and showers only. Thus, paying much more per night was not worth it for us. But, hey, if pirates are your thing, maybe it's worth it for you. Good luck and have a great trip.

Hi So, I have been in them and as Captain Jack described them they are cute. The bedding is pretty neat and I loved some of the touches with the barrel and the crates. The additional money is $25.00 a night or thereabouts depending on room view available, but if the money isnt an issue, I'd so go for it! I like the idea of surrounding myself with the theming of a resort during my trips, it is part of the reason I go to Disney so often in the first place!!! Marie
