On Tuesday January 6 I will be arriving in WDW with my mother to take on the world. This will be my Moms first travel since her heart surgery and is very excited. I figured WDW would be the safe place to go to. She will be in an EVC and isn't very comfortable about driving it but will need to use it to enjoy herself. I will at times be solo each day as she can not be on the go all day.

Have fun I am now signed in and can read. The puppies are fine
I left MK at around 5 and headed to Downtown Disney. I just walked over to the Contemporary and grabbed a bus. The quick trip to DTD was to go to the Hess station and grab some fruit, bread and of course some adult beverages. Then it was over to Earl of Sandwich....sorry when I got back to the hotel I was so hungry I just ate it without a pic. My Mom spent the evening reading by the pool and relaxing. She did however need to call the front desk to get them to help her set the clock in the room. When I got back to the room the clock said 5:30am it was 7:30pm I don't think the phone call helped..lol. Don't get me wrong I love my mother but she does some really funny stuff as you will learn over the course of the trip.
As you can all see my sister is following along crazycatlady. She is helping watch my dogs so that I can be here while others are not at home and at work. My youngest DD will join in at some point CrazyDisneyDaughter
Well it was a good nights sleep and a fresh start. We are waiting in line to get into AK. The Electric wheelchair we order is smaller so easy to maneuver around for Mom. However she is still afraid to get it in and off the Bus. There is a backstory to that one. We broughty Mom a few years ago and made her use a chair she became very afraid to park on the bus and refused to drive it up, so deal was I have to drive it on and off
First up was the safari there are a lot more up close and personal sightings with animals then there used to be. I will have to post pics later. My mother is now sitting and relaxing or shopping lol in Africa and I am staying in line for EE. Unfortunately single rider line is closed. I hope it is open by the time I ride this first time. 25 min wait. I never wait in lines but I guess I am today. It is just moving so no standing still. Thank goodness
Well that was only a 10 min wait and basically just walking thru the que so no big deal. The ride was a blast as usual say beside a first timer which is always fun. I am no back in line again as the single rider is still not open. The yeti is not co operating with me today
There is a large group of teens in front of me in line. I thought it was odd that welcome to the jungle and all this Rick music was happening they have a speaker that they have with them and are playing themed music for the ride. I am not quite sure where the Himalayan became the jungle but they thought it was fitting lol
Another successful trek. Another first timer. He screamed like a girl through the whole thing making it so much more fun for me. I love going on with first timers as long as they do not get sick on me lol. Hasn't happened yet. I am now on round 3. The kids with the speaker are behind me again. They are playing "if I leave here tomorrow"
Tuskerhouse for brunch 10:10 reservation that way you get breakfast and lunch. This is one of my favourite places to eat
Now we are in line for lion King in the new Theatre. It is a bit ciaotic as to where you are to go with a wheelchair. The show starts in 20 minutes and they haven't started any seating

Isn't it so smooth! Rode it Sunday night for the first time on my last night here. Couldn't believe it!
Lion king was very cute. Lots of colour and action. Now we are heading for another ride on the Safari
I was surprised. I tried so hard to get on this thing in May but no luck. Going to try and ride it a few more times while here
Well that was a first. We rode Safari again and when we turned the corner for the flamingos. There were 2 trying to reproduce....quite funny. The driver didn't know how to respond.
Here are some of the pics from the Safari this morning. We actually were up close to some of the animals, a rhino and the cattle were within 5 feet of the side of the truck.
