Craziest places to get stuck?

I once got stuck at the end of Pooh, while going through those door things exiting the show building.

Things got pretty hairy for a sec while I stepped out of the ride vehicle and walked 20 feet to the exit.

Are you sure we weren't in the same vehicle? Lol we didn't even get a fastpass for another ride when this happened :( so much for that.

One time Pinocchio broke down with me, my husband, and two small kids at the time. Like maybe 1 and 5.

Our car was stopped in one of the door openings, for some reason there was no room to the side of the vehicle so we all had to crawl out the back of the ride vehicle and walk through the attraction. It was fun.

We've been stuck on Pinocchio too. We were only fifteen feet into the ride when it stopped. The CM said we could turn around and leave the ride or come with her and walk through the rest of the ride. She let us take pictures as long as we didn't touch anything or hold her up.

That happened to me too...

What is it about the end of that ride that you get stuck.

I got stuck in the Stair Room in the Haunted Mansion, it was really annoying, not to mention, the cherry on top is that i could have been stuck in other much cooler scenes.

I also remember Winnie The Pooh Stopping Briefly. about 3 Times in one ride.

I love getting stuck on the grand stairway AKA the ramp. You get to hear the sound effects of the misty limbo area and the creaking of the "stairs" and stare at the mist itself.

I once got stuck on Roger Rabbit right in front of where he gets electrocuted. It's an uncomfortable scene to pass through as part of the ride, but it's an especially weird place to get stopped. The character voices were turned off shortly after we stopped, but the unsettling heartbeat soundtrack was going the whole time. There were no kids in our car, but even we were a little intimidated by getting stopped right in front of such a bizarre scene, with a long wait before we were escorted back to the loading area

When I was a kid, my dad and grandma were in the car behind us on Mr Toad, and they got stuck in hell. When they finally made it out to unload, their glasses were completely fogged over. Needless to say, that's become a classic family story and a point for frequent teasing through the years!

The whole Indy ride is basically a long series of stops and starts. Every stop along the way (doors, View of bridge, bridge stall, rat tunnel) happens because the jeep near the end needs time to clear the Boulder Room (plus time for the room to reset). If you're stuck in the boulder room, it most likely means there's a logjam at the unload zone. You can't leave the boulder room until the jeep ahead of you clears the "Indy Scolds You" room, and they can't move until there's room in the approach to Unload.

Some maroon probably dropped their phone at Unload while taking a selfie. :D If it ruined the finale, I'd ask the CMs for a pass.
From someone who spent his early college years working in retail, I can't imagine asking for a fastness because of that. "Hey that ruined the immersion for me. Give me a pass." gives too much of a "Are you the only one working in the department? I need to speak to a manager" vibe for me lol

Hey, it's worth a shot. I'd never be a jerk about it; I'd just nicely say, "The big finale of the ride didn't work. Any way I could get a pass to try again later?" Often the CMs are more than happy to help. If not, I'd say, "No prob," and move on.

Seriously, I've been given any-ride Fastpasses (without asking) for less of a tech issue than that.

Yea, that would be a much more considerate approach. I apologize, retail has scarred me.

On the same trip the benches on Soarin stopped working midway through, again my gf's first ever ride. It was very annoying and also a bit nauseating watching the large screen without synched motions. I asked the CM on exit for a pass to re-ride due to the malfunction and was told as long as the movie played in full we experienced the ride .... So I guess Disney doesnt care about good show anymore ... :depressed:

That's really disappointing. I might have gone (politely) to Guest Services over that one (if the line wasn't long). I mean, seriously, if the Star Tours cabin didn't move at all, would they consider that "experiencing the ride?"

The called the non-moving version of Wild Arctic at Sea World a ride.

It was many years ago, in my foolish youth when I spent my money on frivolous things like clothes and an AP. I can assure you that these days the only time I'm not wearing my potato sack is when I've swapped it out for the classic barrel-with-suspenders ensemble

Actually, come to think of it, the jacket I'm wearing in that picture was free, a gift for years of service with an organization. It may be one of the uglier things I own, but I'm a sucker for free clothes!

How about being 'stuck' between Tony Baxter and a friend, all three of us squeezed into one Doom Buggy, while touring Disneyland's 'Haunted Mansion'...?

Does that count...?

( it was a GREAT experience, by the way.....)

This anecdote immediately falls apart as soon as you said the Haunted Mansion as there is always room for more... any volunteers?

Exactly!! I was able to book another Maxpass later in the day and the ride system worked that time. However, as you mentioned usually Disney has been good about that in the past and making sure guests can experience the ride if a failure occurs.
