For the whiners, there is also a crane visible by Splash Mountain. Shall we complain about that and the scaffolding ruining your pictures?

I was referring to raising it vertically from it's current position, if that were possible. Nor was I complaining but offering a suggestion but perhaps it couldn't be done logisitically anyway. I agree with others that if it's your first time, you're excited to be there and could care less about the crane. From my point of view, I would be disappointed but understand why the cranes are there. It's like seeing the scaffolding around the Washington Monument. You would rather see it without the scaffolding but you understand that work is being done on it after the freak earthquake there several years ago.

Most self erecting cranes max out around 120'-130'

just install a permanent crane that pops out of one of the spires when work is required and than pops back down when work is done. like a Sunday cartoon. hinge the entire spire roof like a tea kettle.

I was up last week and the side closest to tomorrowland was looking pretty beat up....more so than I have ever noticed in the past, could be I've become more aware of things since joining the boards, wish I would of taken a picture...so it may have something to do with that

Any idea on what refurbishments the castle will be receiving outside of touch ups?

I'd love for more added details like the castle in Tokyo, but I highly doubt that will ever happen.
