Crane at the Castle

Everybody knows by now that the crane has come & gone from behind the castle. My question is how does it get there in the first place? I know there's enough room to squeeze by the carousel & snow white but where does it go from there to get off stage?

Just curious...

I would think it comes in mulitple pieces and then assembled in the magic kingdom. I have seen them in pieces on flatbeds being towed by semi trucks, but im not sure.

These cranes are self assembly jobs - imagine the chaos of trying to get a 200 foot crane around the attractions in MK
You simply estimate the size of crane required and build it accordingly.

I I fianally figured it out! They bring the crane in by "It's a Small World" That big Entrance where the Skyliner used to be, and they bring it peter Pan and by the Carrosoul, and back behind the castle. Thats my theory

I saw the crane when it was in place behind the castle

and from what I could see it was a mobile crane with a large telescopic boom and not the type that you asemble on site
the main part of the crane was behind screens but the boom was definatly the telescopic type
how did they get it in ?? through the turnstiles

There are various huge "doors" throughout the parks. They are used mostly for parades, with their large floats, but they could msot likely allow the entrance of a crane. They're hidden out of site, or in plain site in most cases ;)

Speaking of those doors- the ones that open onto Main Street by the Firehouse look awfully small. Is it just me or do they seem a little tight? I saw them during the day and not during a parade but it seems to me that the floats would JUST barely fit.
