I don’t know if #1 is necessarily true. I’d always heard that they point with more than one finger because a one finger point is considered rude in many cultures

I have always heard this also and it actually makes more sense.

Apparently it's up for debate by several sources. If it's been in practice since the 70s I point to the smoking walt theory, pardon the pun, since cultural sensitivity has not always been something valued.

I heard most of their classic staff is gone, not just the youtube ones.
But yes, it does, and I heard it isn't getting a lot of traffic these days. Probably because now it's a buzzfeed knock off and buzzfeed, like it or not, is older and more popular than the new craked will ever be.

You are at least partially correct. Clickbait is not the term that first came to my mind to express my thoughts about that website, but the term I thought to be more descriptive is not suitable for use on this forum.

Chickens didn't have fingers when I was growing up....
