So I just got accepted into the fall program (operations!), now I need to pick when to go. I was thinking of arriving August 22nd, but my parents seem to like the 27th (so we could drive over the weekend). My question is does arriving on an earlier date make a difference? Will I get a better selection for rooms or classes?

I would say that if it made a difference, it might help you get the apartment complex you want (if you have a difference). I don't think it would matter for classes. If it were me, I would want to arrive earlier.

Just curious, when was your interview date? I have mine coming up April 10th, so I have quite awhile to wait before I hear if I got in.
I would rather go early. When's the earliest we can get there, August 13th? It's Disney- who wants to prolong the wait?!:lol:

I also got into the fall for operations! I decided to go on August 22 for these reasons.... my school starts back on August 16. I am going to be at my college visiting my friends one last time (I'm going to my hometown for the summer so I won't see my friends) from August 16-19, then see my family on Sunday and Monday then leave Monday and arrive there Tuesday August 21. If you wanna see your friends before you go, maybe you should check your school's schedule? Just a thought, it's working good for me!
All I know is I'm working in operations but during my interview I told her it was my dream to work either Big Thunder Mtn. or Splash Mtn. and she was excited to hear that (I'm a roller coaster fan - I even belong to the clubs, yup I'm a geek!) and we actually talked roller coasters for a few minutes, so hopefully, just maybe, I'll end up on a roller coaster.
My interview date was Feb. 21st, and my acceptance was postmarked 13 days later (I just got it because it came to my school address while I was gone for spring break, aka at Disney!).
And thanks BelleWannaBe77 for the tip about visiting friends, I'm going to arrive the 22nd too because I just firgured then I could stop by at my college on my drive down to say hi as they will be just starting arriving at school then.

I'm going down August 13th because I would like the option of choosing where I want to live (vista/chatham) and how many bedrooms I want so I figured August 13th being the first day should give me the best option. I'm sure that you will be fine on August 22nd.
