19-20 days until I leave for the World! I never thought it was going to get here but it's finally with in reach! Here's my question. We are doing one night at AS Movies then heading over to AKV for the rest. Will the resort transfer our luggage over? I have breakfast reservations the morning of transfer at Cape May Cafe so it would be a big hassle to worry about moving our stuff that morning and I'm not getting up at the crack of dawn on a resort only day.

Yes, all of your luggage will be moved by Disney Bell services from your room. Then they will be moved on to your new location (AKV). You will need to be in your room for them to take your luggage and to deliver to your new room. Just call bell services when you are ready. If you are leaving AS for an 8 am ADR, I would call bell services no later than 7 am and take a cab to BC to be sure you arrive on time. You luggage will at AKV by early afternoon. Once you check in there, you let Bell services in the lobby know you are there and they will take you stuff to you. Again, you need to be in your room for them to deliver it (unlike magical express). Its very easy. We do it almost every trip (including our trip which starts in 2 days!!!!!!!!!)

What you could also try to do to save time (depending on how well you plan and how well you pack) is just have a single piece of luggage as an "overnight" bag for your family. Just pack what you'll need for that night and the next morning. When you check in, you can ask them to store the rest of your gear overnight so there's less to move in the morning. So if you're running late for breakfast, you may be able to handle bringing the one bag to the main building yourself.

But even if you keep all your stuff with you, having a single overnight bag will save you tons of time the next morning.

We recently transferred from Pop to AKL...First time we had tried this. Very simple proccess. Called Bell service at Pop around 8am to pick up luggage. They then transfered it to AKL. Arrived at round 3pm. Family stayed at park and I went to AKL and checked into our room and had luggage brought up. Piece of Cake!!

Thanks for the input. I like the overnight bag idea for myself and my son but who knows what the rest of my family will do! I have never had to really use the Bell service before so this is new to me. Before we just had a car big enough for us all but this time my sister has the car and shes not staying with us. I don't want to depend on her to pick us and our luggage up!
