I am trying to plan Counter Service meals for our Epcot visit this October and I was wondering what recommendations ya'll have? We will be using CS meals for Lunch and dinner. We will not have any TS meals available. (Feeding two adults and two girls 6 and 9.):slurp:

Thanks as always!

America has hot dogs, burgers, etc.

Electric Umbrella has bascially same as America, but some salads, etc.

Sunshine Seasons Food Court, a lot of stuff, lots of choices including soups, a great bakery, salmon, salads. Really the best place for a change instead of hot dogs and burgers.

Let's see...

Some of my favorite CS locations:
1. Germany -- usually end up coming back another day for Biergarten! :slurp:
2. The Land food court
3. UK
4. Liberty Inn

- Electric Umbrella in Future World
- Sunshine Seasons in The Land
- Cool Wash Pizza (!!!) outside Test Track
- Liberty Inn in the America pavilion
- Lotus Blossom Cafe in the China pavilion
- Sommerfest in the Germany pavilion

And the margarita stand in Mexico is quite a delicious place to stop. ;)

Sunshine Seasons seems to be mentioned a lot!

Is Sunshine Seasons and the Land food court across from each other in the Land Pavilion? And this is where Soaring is correct?

I need to look up the map of this place and find these different locations! Thanks for the recommendations everyone!

You'll be there during the food and wine festival, so you might want to do at least one meal from the food booths.

I am still confused about this event! Last year, our first try at Epcot, we were their during this event and I did not see anything or understand what was supposed to happen. I have read stuff on it but am still confused.:veryconfu

It is in the Land Pavillion by Soarin. Not long ago they revamped the old food court and renamed it Seasons. It is good and this comes from someone who really dislikes most of the counter service meals.

The F&W festival has booths set up all around world showcase. Each booth is a different country and not necessarily a country represented by the WS country pavillions. You will find New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, etc. Each booth has a regional wine or two and several regional dishes. These dishes and wines are smaller portions and thus have a small price, between $2-$5 each. The whole purpose of this is so that you can taste different foods and wines from different countries.

They also have special dinners at certain restaurants in WDW w/special guest chefs and wine seminars, etc. which you pay to attend.

Here's a website to give you more info: http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/ep/foodwine.htm

Personally, I liked the previous incarnation of the Sunshine Seasons food court - the new food offerings are simply not what we like. But, that being said, it certainly has a unique menu of items for Epcot. I personally like the Electric Umbrella and would recommend that, or the Liberty Inn if you're over on that side of Epcot, for counter service meals. But definitely check out the Menus Forum or www.AllEarsNet.com for a menu of your choices.

Last question: I posted on another thread also - Even thou it is a TS meal does anyone like the Japanes Restaurant Tempan-?ek (sp?) Doe s it have FRIED RICE and not just white steamed rice? We love Fried Rice here at home! :slurp:
