I like Dinosaur a lot, and it's really held up. My last trip with my family, we had a couple guys in our car who knew about where the camera would be shooting from, so they gave the camera the double-pistols-and-wink. I hope to replicate that when I go down with my friends in December, haha!

Does anyone else think that the ride is a bit to loud at times, like at unnecessary times not at the dino attack scenes, just the audio track and such:shrug:

My girlfriend is sensitive to loud noises and kept covering her ears throughout rides and shows in WDW last fall. Without her, I've never really noticed it before, but I think you are right that there are some really loud portions on this ride.

I've got a loud family, so I guess I'm just used to it. :animwink:

Sadly, I think that will get your picture deleted by the CM screening the photos. My friend worked there and he said such pictures were not allowed.

I am not sure how I feel about this.

EDIT: By the way, yes to the Excavator! That would probably make AK my favorite park on the property.

Really? I mean, I obviously don't want to cause any trouble. The only reason I saw the other kids doing it was because we were looking at the screens and that's how it came out. Thanks for the heads up, though. I appreciate it.

Eh, I don't know about adding Excavator. When I think of Disney, I think of great theming, not awesome coasters. From what I've seen of Excavator, I don't know how they will do it :-/, but they did do BTMR.

You could always try to get that picture. Maybe the CM looking at the pics will let it through. And sometimes the picture will appear on the screens after the unloading for a few seconds before getting deleted, so if you are fast maybe you can take a picture of the screen. :)

I think the theming looks great, but again everything looks good on art concepts. Yet, regardless of the result it will certainly look better than the out of place Dinorama, an area that doesn't fit in with its surroundings and especially with the rest of the park. The excavator would be the perfect complement to the Dino Institute.

How about the best of both?
Dinosaur:Countdown to Extinction

Eh, just CTX works better because its shorter.

I agree. I like the ride, but most of the sound effects are WAY too loud. I mean, super over-kill loud. The time warps are super loud, the Carnataur roars, and even the on-board sound track. I usually spend most of the ride covering my ears. I'd much rather be holding on to the hand bars.

I will also agree that the audio is too loud, especially both time warps.

Soooo not true. Maybe there was one instance where it looked like the people were sticking up their middle fingers, but I've done silly photos like that on rides with family and friends for years =p We've even bought the photos and none of the staff ever indicated there was a problem.

Oh, that's good :) I'm not planning on doing anything rude or vulgar or anti-social. We just want to be funny and have a good time.

I have noticed a few problems with the effects over the years, but for me it's one of the most under-rated attractions at WDW. I wouldn't be against the re-theming, but if they did go that route, I think making the story of the whole area a bit more obvious would help. Also, I want Mrs. Huxtable kept on in some capacity.

As I have said, sometimes it depends on the CM who is responsible for looking at the pictures before showing them on the screen. That is why it is worth a shot. :)

I just have to add this example because it's my favorite!! Though the CM at the register when we bought it didn't find it very funny :(
