Could the Mickey RFID reader be dead?

CMs still have to say, " touch the Mickey/entry point with your Magic Band". 4 years later, people still don't get what to do.....

Not everyone goes all the time or researches before their vacation to know what to do.

Gee, if you've visited at least once, you should know to touch MB to Mickey..... Plus, they have pictures of just that on the WDW website, like the one below. And, if I remember, info in the box with your resort MBs.

I agree but again not everyone reads that stuff nor does everyone stay onsite. You also have foreign travelers that don't always understand these things either. I am sure the CMs are tired of saying touch Mickey to Mickey or whatever but they have to so people understand.

What do they say to the people who don't have Magic Bands?
(I hear people here talk sometimes as if everybody has them by default, when that's not true)

"Touch your card here". So having/not having a Mickey outline on the FP entry point is immaterial...
