Anyone else upset that we lose our post-count when a thread gets deleted??? I mean... I'm no bigshot with some thousands posts... I count my every post... and now...

Tom, I don't worry about post count at all (obviously).
I may not contribute as much as others but I enjoy reading all threads and look forward to seeing what is new around the forum. . .all of the forum.
Chit Chat is important to some of us for various reasons. But it isn't all we're here for. Just because we don't post as often as others in other parts of the forum doesn't mean that we don't appreciate all it has to offer.
