Could I do Everest?

I am not a real roaller coaster type person, the most intense coasters I have dared to go on are Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain. Would Everest be too much for me? How intense is it? What other ride could it compare to in level of intensity?

I would think if you can do both those mountains you should be okay with EE. It does have a big drop, it's bigger then Splash Mountain so if that drop bugs you alot than this one may scare you some.

Read the ride spoilers thread (don't want to ruin for people who what to wait). It is a very cool coaster you shoudl try at least once. :)

The only somewhat crazy part of the ride is when the train rolls backwards in the dark and the finally spiraling to a stop. The first time I rode it I was quite surprised by the fast but short backwards part of the ride. I don't think the drop is that bad. If you ride Space and Thunder you owe it to yourself to ride EE at least once. I think you will love it.

I would recommend riding at least once. I agree that the craziest part is the backwards in the dark portion. The rest is a piece of cake - especially since you have rode SM. Enjoy!

:king: Absolutely you gotta give E.E a try. It's simply a must do at WDW!!!!
It's so worth the experience, and not scary at all. If you could handle space mountain than this one will be a breeze!!! Have a great vacation and enjoy your time at WDW!!!!

Is the big drop in Everest steeper than the drop in Splash Mountain?

Yes it is, I was dreading it because I hate drops. But honestly, it isn't bad. There is virtually no warning so it's over in 2 seconds. Also, it sort of curves, so it's somehow not as intense. It's an interesting ride, when you expect a drop, there is none. When you don't expect one, there is!
I'm a ride wimp who will ride EE again!:sohappy:

As already said the drop is larger, but it completely gets you by surprise. Now on Splash the drop you know it is coming when you go up the long final hill and the anticipation makes it worse.
