Costume restrictions?

I'm wondering if Disney has any restrictions to how far you can go with costumes outside of MNSSHP?

My friends and I are planning a trip in 8/08 and I have several costumes we could wear on park days (ex: all the princess, villain, pirate, and german-style costumes, etc) and I don't want to take the course that guy who resembled Santa did-- out of the park.

If it's not a special event (MNSSHP, P&P, SWW) adults are not allowed to wear costumes to the parks.

I remember hearing that they kicked out some guy who was dressed as Santa Claus in December...

We just do funny hat days. All the fun of dressing up silly without getting kicked out.
