Ive read that in the last year they have become more strict with adults in costumes. It says anyone over the age of 14 no mask are allowed at all. I was wondering if anyone went last year and knows how strict they will be?

Me and my 2 other friends had planned as going as lock shock and barrel from nightmare before christmas but were all well over 14. In the past I have seen many adults in mask especially for Jack Skeleton or storm troopers.

Do any of you think it would be allowed in if i wasn't wearing it and maybe only put the mask on for photos specifically?

With recent events I would expect 100% enforcement of the rule.

This is an odd thing to legally enforce. What if it is against my religion to show my face. Or I have a horrible burn and just don't want to. What if I have a condition that needs massive sun protection. Or medical condition with face mask. They are all the rage in Japan.

When we went in 2014 I saw many kids in masks. No adults.

We noticed quite a few teens and adults in costumes yesterday, was it for any special occasion?

They did not allow a family to wear Incredibles masks in 2014 when we were there. Made them remove them going in gate, and it was just eye masks. The little boy and girl they did but mom and dad they made remove.

This year I expect the rule to be enforced 100%. I wouldn't be surprised if in light of recent events they prohibit adults from dressing up now.

With terrorist attacks and possible casing the Disney area as a target, the last thing Disney is going to do is allow an adult to wear a mask in the park.
I get the no mask rule. Not being allowed to 'dress up' at all was predicted. I can't see the difference between a regular frilly dress and a 'costume' princess dress as far as security is concerned.

...hmm...unless gaining access to stay areas may be the concern.

When we went in 2014, we basically disney bounded. I don't remember many people in masks.

This year we're going with 2 kids (age 6 & 2) and 4 adults. We're just trying to figure out the schedule right now. Costumes will come later. Probably a good plan to see if the rules change.
