Hey Guys, next week I'm going to MNSSHP..and I was wondering if anyone ever had issues with costumes will one rides? Ive decided to go as Zurg and just spent the last 2 days making my costume, and I'm hoping that I wont really have any issues riding any of the attractions...Espically the Coasters haha. As far as flexibility goes...this costume is super easy to move in.. nothing restricts me at all. I did all kinds of things like trying to sit on the floor and get back up..to try and make it like getting in and out of Space Mountain......anywayyy id love to hear what you folks have to say...tips..tricks and even stories!

Thank you!

Did they just change that? because 2 years ago i went to the Pirate parties and had half a mask on...which is what my Zurg costume is..and the other half is face paint.

Also costumes cannot have any type of train (IE wedding gowns, capes, etc) that drags behind you. It is a safety issue.

That makes sense. :) How horrible would it be to be walking along and someone passes behind you and steps on your cape! OUCH!!!

I agree, GREAT COSTUME!! I don't have any stories or anything, but I was just thinking about the rides. The only kind of ride I think you might have an issue might be Haunted Mansion. The only reason I think that is that the mask and shoulder pieces might hit against the back and top of the Doom Buggy. I can't really tell from the pictures though so maybe it'll be fine. :) Of course, if it was an issue you could choose to ride on the carriage with zero loved ones. :D :p

Costume Guidelines for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties are as Follows.

-Costumes should not obstruct the guest's view or interfere with their ability to board/unload from attractions and/or Walt Disney World Resort Transportation system (including monorails, ferry boats and motor coaches).

-Drag on the ground.

-Be offensive to other guests.

-Contain sharp or pointed objects or material that may accidentally strike another guest.

-Contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon

Wasn't there a huge discussion/debate last year about someone who tried to wear a Star Wars helmet into MNSSHP? I seem to remember a whole big bruhaha.
