Cost for UK Visitors

I'm not sure there is much way of getting the costs down TBH. Flights will possibly be a touch cheaper if you book through cheaper airlines but not much, stay offsite is obviously cheaper but then you have to pay for transport and/or daily parking.

If you do find a way I'd be very interested to know!

Well we've booked through Virgin for this summer. for 4 (2 adults, 2 children), Disney tickets, Universal tickets and free DDP staying at the POFQ it's come to a total of just over £10k.

What would be costly ?
What would be costly? Depends on the size of your bank accounts, I suppose. But things add up quickly. Get out the calculator and start adding them up: trip insurance, transportation to and from the home airport, flights, resort room, dining plan, food and drinks when outside WDW, or over and above the DDP, admission to non Disney attractions, transportation to and from non Disney attractions, souvenirs, and miscellaneous purchases (with a ridiculous price markup in the gift shops) like extra sunscreen, sunburn lotion, pain meds, blister pads, stomach remedies, etc, etc. Then multiply by the number of people in your party. A 3 week stay at WDW isn't cheap unless you're a billionaire.

There are no guarantees, but sign up for flight alerts starting 6 months or so before your dates. Watch for special offers for WDW stays ( like free dining - check the details on the different dining plans), use Uber or Lyft instead of taxis or shuttles for transportation in Orlando. Some visitors save money on food extras by eating breakfast in their room and having their own snack foods. Since you won't have a car to go to a supermarket, consider a grocery delivery to your resort.( Include some of those sundries I mentioned earlier). A big chunk of your budget will go to admission tickets for all those non Disney parks you want to visit. There's not much you can do to reduce those costs other than serious editing.

Get a copy of the Unofficial Guide to WDW. They have good chapters on planning and budgeting. There's also info on non Disney attractions.

Only tip on flights if you book them separately to accommodation is go for a random duration like 15 nights instead of 14, or 20/22 instead of 21 that are the standard package type durations and search flights on that basis. We are doing 15 nights at the Dolphin in October flying with TUi who are aren’t renound for flight only but if they have availability you can get a decent deal

Does that really work?
It brings the price down?

It did for us when we’ve booked for October...
Booking 2 rooms (1 larger family room) at the Dolphin direct and seperate flights with TUI have come in less than a package price would have with virgin for example on this occasion... worth a look. Sure it depends when you are travelling in relation to school hols etc as we are doing a week in the half term and 8 days out of it...
Worth a look and the TUI flights were almost 60% less than flight only with virgin as we picked an extra day.
