Yes I was agreeing with you. The only time I’ve seen guests be met with security (and not sure if they were asked to leave or not) was because of fighting. Not physical fighting but intense verbal fighting between families.

Everything else has been “hey this is park policy, please comply”.

(Not saying my limited experiences are absolute of course).

Me too. I saw an obviously drunk guy get stopped at the front gate at MK. He was carrying a red solo cup and stumbling badly. They didn’t cuff him or taser him or anything crazy but they did have to escort him away from the front gate area towards the bus stop area. Not sure if he went to a waiting police car or they just let him go.

Were you able to ride the rise of the resistance? I've heard reports that it is difficult to get a boarding pass.

Well, on the personal side... My Dad, 73, who lives in FL, has 5 friends, including 2 sets of couples. 3 of the 4 from the couples have tested positive this week. My Dad hasn't seen the one couple since April, because they were the most "high risk." They tested positive first, but they see the second couple and my Dad sees the second couple twice a week at breakfast at their local restaurant. *shakes head.* He last saw them on Tuesday, and it was on Tuesday we found out the first couple's son had tested positive and so the rest of them were getting tested. So my Dad is now figuring out where to get tested tomorrow. Thankfully, the high risk couple has only been experiencing coughs, so hopefully they will recover without issue. But now I won't be able to continue to use his friends' potential risks as a reason why Dad has to be careful.

Now, I'm not sure what is better? For my Dad to test negative, but still be at risk? Or for him to test positive, and then I can send him down to Disney Springs for merchandise pickups after his quarantine? /joke

I'm going to have to show up to my parents house one day and bolt them indoors. They believe in covid and take precautions but my dad was "just perusing" through the Home Depot the other day and my mom keeps having "socially distant tea" with people who dont take precautions.

My Dad was trying to tell me breakfast was "safe," because D was sitting next to him, and T was sitting across from D. So no one was sitting across from him. Then my head exploded.

We already know cruising isn't happening until at least October, but this thread is about WDW.

Yes, but the CDC already issued a no sail order until October. It's not really relevant at this point in time. If there is still a ban when the CDC lifts the no sail order than I can see it being relevant. In my opinion, it will be longer than October before cruising resumes.

As 80%+ of this thread has included topics that are a crazy stretch to be COVID and/or WDW related at all, this info gets extra credit for actually being about something that will affect WDW!
And double extra credit because it gives @The Mom a moderating break. 😂

I wish it affected WDW that would mean cruising had resumed. DCL sent out surveys asking if people would be willing to wear masks, give up shows, and no buffets, etc. I've been on 25 DCL cruises and as much as I love cruising I won't take a cruise with any of those things in place. In my opinion cruising is very a very social vacation for social people. I really don't see it resuming for a while.

Although I still think it's off-topic cruising is my favorite vacation so anyone that wants to discuss it..... I'm in. The cruise section here is pretty slow. I was supposed to be on a European cruise in 3 weeks. I used to visit cruise critic forums a lot. I haven't visited cruise critic in months it's just too depressing.
