I had heard NBA, NHL and MLB had various plans involving playing games with no fans. I haven’t seen anywhere that the NFL was considering that. The article I posted said they had many alternative plans for when the season would start, eliminating weeks and moving the super bowl back but none of those plans involved playing without fans. I’m not saying they aren’t considering it, but I haven’t seen that reported anywhere.
I was merely pointing out this is what they have been discussing, there was a really good article about the packers being hurt more than most. And that article doesn't mention fans in attendance. Out of the 4 the NHL has the most to lose, which is why I didn't include it in my earlier comments. Smaller tv contract, not as popular (in the states) and teams with more financial concerns

See, now THOSE are reasonable rules.
For us. It’s definitely going to be tougher for CMs to wear a mask all day and for bartenders to wash their hands after each drink. They did seem to put the emphasis on the businesses and employees changing more than customers. Some of the capacity things are going to be interesting. It also doesn’t address transport issues specifically like bus/monorail/boat/skyway

Of course, people are not going to like this next part but...

Anyone think these restrictions are a little too lax?

Guests should wear masks, indoor shows and attractions what about these? Seems to be a number of things missing from this guidance.

I know I don’t feel comfortable without those kind of restrictions but that could just be me. I’m not even sure it’s a great idea to reopen anytime soon.

Just to be clear, these are only proposals so far as of today.

It's funny, but the longer this goes on, the more I sort of daydream about being back at Disney. I want to start planning my next vacation (which would have been coming up soon), deciding on hotels, etc. I would definitely be willing to go even if it were half shut down. But I don't think I'd be willing to go if it felt sort of apocalyptic, with masks and temperature checks and warnings to stay apart. What I'm missing is the feeling of joy and the fun atmosphere, not just the rides themselves.

And of course I wouldn't be willing to go if I were risking getting the virus, because I live with vulnerable people. But I meant even if I were certain to be immune or something, I just don't think I'd enjoy walking around Disney if it didn't feel mostly carefree and safe. That bums me out because I am way overdue for a trip and my kids are the perfect age. Basically, as soon as things feel safe again (let's hope that happens as soon as possible), I would be willing to throw money at them. (...Assuming I still have any of course.)

I work at a grocery store and my new normal is being screened before I start and have to wear a mask. I just can't see how we can go from that to Disney being opened with just social distancing in place within a month. I think people are expecting it to roughly be normal when they open. They don't want change. Our world has changed.

I think it’s a valid opinion to have.

Keep in mind these are recommendations and some mandates that address the bare minimum they have to do to open. There’s nothing to say Disney couldn’t implement further measures. The mix of shows and attractions is in their control. I don’t see them requiring masks. That’s just not going to go well and would be nearly impossible to enforce.

Not to mention the heat and mask isn’t a great combo. I really don’t see how this can be done in the best way as @Jrb1979 has said.

I’m sure they will come up with something but this “new normal” isn’t really a great place to be when running a huge venue. I would love to get back to Disney sometime soon but, the right restrictions should be put into place.

Again, it could be me being overly cautious but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have these thoughts. also, yes I recognize these are just guidelines.

You are lucky wearing a mask and working in ice cold AC in the grocery store. The guests on Main Street at MK in the middle of the summer won't be as fortunate.

If anything I think they will require quests to wear masks know children will be hard again as I posted before things will need to be tested to see what works and what does not.

We may not like it but if it comes to it you have a choice go to WDW or stay home.

I'm not saying masks are a must. I just don't see how we can go from the strict measures we are doing now to basically doing nothing except keeping people apart from each other so quickly.
