That’s fine, but I work in the Broadway community, and the show reopenings so far have been pretty shaky at best. So many actors and crew catching it, many shows like Jagged Little Pill, Ain’t Too Proud, and Girl from the North Country have closed altogether and others like To Kill a Mockingbird and Mrs. Doubtfire postponed until spring. It’s not looking good where I am now, but I guess we’ll see what happens. Hoping for the best, but then again, I was hoping for the best before the emergence of Omicron…
I hope you understand that is mostly a political move to deflect focus to the lessening of mitigations.
The U.K. is not the best lens to use for our situation. Besides the political implications of why they are choosing to do this at this time they have tried this before and omicron came shortly after to sweep through the population. Maybe that will give them some more immunity but their vaccination rate is much different from the US as is their infection rate.

Not where we are. Not only are masks still required, but at the beginning of the year, they started requiring proof of vaccination to eat indoors (even at fast food places), go to a bar, gym, movie theater, etc.
The problem is, the pushing for the vaccines isn't some haha joke here. People on this board and in the new Rasmussen poll suggested unvaccinated persons stay home and should not be aloud to do anything outside of feeding themselves in which they also didn't want the unvaccinated to work. That's not ok lol. You said oh well the pushing of vaccines is just a sign that people are scared and that they care. People want others to not be able to afford food. While the contrast to those pushing that is, " if you want to take the vaccine..cool." That's a drastic shift in ideals. I said this from the very beginning, it's not a good road to go down, don't let your minds go there. Now look, everyone gets the virus, the politicians are starting to spew the word endemic and things will slowly creep back to normal before the midterms. Fear is a terrible thing, believe me I've suffered with panic disorder for over a year and it's awful, but to push those fears on others and hurt the thousands of families it has hurt, isn't right. With that, let's move on, try and work together and understand each other despite our differences. Let Mercy and Truth prevail.

I’m sure that’s what some would like. And they should absolutely continue wearing masks if that’s what the want. But that’s not really what they’re after.
Residents in Japan wear masks every flu season and mask wearing in Japan is part of their culture even throughout the year. I've seen it firsthand. Asking about wearing a mask during flu season? Is this a serious question?
