I hope further studies show this is not the case....otherwise that's bad news for the vaccine.

I think the plexiglass between queue lines is a feel-good move more than a practical one. Have you seen the gif of what happens to the moisture particles when someone coughs in a grocery store? They go up and over for several isles, barriers only cause them to go other directions faster.Went to Hersheypark today. There were no plexiglass barricades in between tight queue areas as where in WDW there would be. This is one area where Disney goes up and beyond for safety precautions imo.
Here’s a picture of one of the tight areas. In switchback areas, they would usually leave a lane empty between opposing lanes. This one in the picture was unavoidable really.

As for everything else, majority of people were wearing their masks and trying to social distance. Security and workers who work the measuring stick in the lines were enforcing social distancing and masks. Was a good sight to see for once versus grocery stores and such.
I've seen a number of that, mask under nose.I think the plexiglass between queue lines is a feel-good move more than a practical one. I'd be more concerned about the dude with his mask under his nose in the back of your photo.
Well, if 23 million people get the disease and 1 gets it a second time... I'll take those odds.
Can you do it against winning powerball and being struck by lightning?I'll get to work on a graph of that re-positivity rate!

Yeah I usually have my back turned towards them whenever I see someone with their masks below their nose/mouth.I think the plexiglass between queue lines is a feel-good move more than a practical one. "Disney has begun to send emails to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Cast Members who have not been called back to work, notifying them that they will remain on furlough until further notice. The email notes that these are “difficult and uncertain times” and that while the initial estimates from Disney indicated that they did not anticipate a closure of more than 6 months, the email says that “business circumstances that [Disney] could not have anticipated” will likely push the closure to more than 6 months.
Disney goes on to say in the email that they “hope that our businesses will be back up and running and that your furlough will remain temporary”. Of course, that last part of the sentence will likely read as concerning for any potential layoffs that might occur as a result of the extended closure and a slow return to what Disney might consider normal."

Expected. Travel/hospitality industry will take at least a couple years to come back. At least. Maybe hurt more than any other industry from this."Disney has begun to send emails to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Cast Members who have not been called back to work, notifying them that they will remain on furlough until further notice. Take a tiptoe through the Florida WARN site and look at all the service industry jobs lost. It is very sad and most of those are week to week pay for people paying rent.Expected. I wouldn’t expect too much movement until the positivity rate is consistently below 5%. But I could be wrong.
5% is a CDC reopening metric. That’s why I mentioned it. That’s all.How about when it's small enough that rapid testing can be done, immediate contact tracing, and isolation, without huge gaps of people slipping through.
Somewhere under 1% or under 0.5% or even less.
Under 5% isn't some wondrous world, it just means we have an idea of how fast community spread is going on instead of just not knowing. It's definitely not under control and moving to containment instead of slowing.
They also removed the recommendation that asymptomatic individuals who have a known exposure get tested. Except if you are in a vulnerable group or following state recommendations.Returning from overseas or out of state? The CDC removes its 14-day quarantine recommendation

Mmmmm, don't look for it you don't have a problem? Where have I heard that??They also removed the recommendation that asymptomatic individuals who have a known exposure get tested. Except if you are in a vulnerable group or following state recommendations.
I could make all sorts of comments inappropriate for this particular thread, but I won't. But I expect people will be shocked, shocked, I tell you, about what will happen if the US stops looking for active cases.
