Coronado Springs

Hi All!

Well it's only 110 days to go until my next visit! :sohappy:

I've gone and booked for the first time a moderate resort, Coronado Springs. I've previously stayed at All Stars and Pop. Is CS much bigger than POP or All Stars? Which is the best moderate resort?

Cheers!

I've stayed at Pop twice, All Star Music once and I just got back from staying at All Star Sports last week. We have another trip planned for September where we were staying at Pop but I just called 2 days ago and changed it to Coronado Springs. It will be $500 more for our trip but I figured it will be worth it with shorter bus lines, bigger rooms, quieter area and better views.

I've visited a friend while they were at Coronado a few years back and remember loving it. I know they have 2 bus stops due to the massive size of the resort as it is spread around a lake. But I'd be interested what other people have to say about this resort as well.

We love this resort and intend returning next December. There seems to be less children at this resort, I think that is because it is a conference centre. This also means that even when it seems full the buses to the parks are usually not too full.:) :)

There are actually 4 bus stops, one at each area (Casitas, Ranchos,Cabanas, and El Centro). #s 10, 21, 22, & 7 on this map: http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/csmap.html

It's quite interesting that even though the resort gets booked solid at times, the busses are relatively empty. It is the quietest of all the moderate resorts.

I stayed at Coronado Springs twice last year ( July and October) and loved it. Even though, the hotel is huge and uses four bus stops, there was a very calming and relaxing atmosphere throughout. Here are some recommendations: (1) Mara for dining, (2) a day at the pool, and (3) a boat ride on the lagoon. I have been to all of the moderate resorts and this was easily my favorite. I hope this helps.

I have had the pleasure of staying at all four of the moderate resorts and CS is a very nice resort. CS is considerably larger than single All Star resort at least in the area of acreage. As to guest capacity I really could not tell you.

As to my favorite moderate PORS would be it. The only real issue I had with CS is its huge layout. If you were put in the back of the resort it was a good 15-20 minute walk to the food court. Other than that CS is a great resort.
