Coronado Springs OR Caribbean Beach?

I'm planning on going to Disney World in August of this year, but I'm still deciding which of the above 2 hotels I should stay at. I'm leaning towards the Caribbean Beach because it has a beautiful view of Spaceship Earth. Does the Coronado Springs hotel have a view of anything? Any other information I should know? Thanks :)

You can not see Sp-aceship earth from much of CBR if any. The photos they take of it for their publications are tyakien from the air. You can see some of the fireworks from some areas of the resot. But it is still a great place to stay. It is a colorfull upbeat resort. The rooms are a bit larger than at Coronado Springs and were just remodeled.
CSR is awesome too though. They have coffee makers in the room but only one sink in the vanity area. The 3 sections are distinctly different and the main pool is ver impressive. There is no view of anything other than the top of the Dolphin Hotel in the diatnce.
I did not vote because both are great and you should pick which one you want based on which theme you like best.

Carribean Beach

We LOVE this place. It's the only moderate hotel we will stay at. We've visited friends in POR Riverside, we went to Coronado because we wanted to try and stay there the next time we went and we were very dissappointed. The atmosphere is dreary, not like a Disney place. The pool is impressive but I've heard they are closing it to do renovations. Not sure when. Carribean Beach has great atmosphere. Makes you feel like your in the islands of the Caribbean!!! We absolutely love it there, Of course, we love the Expensive hotels better but as a moderate goes, it's the best. WE also will be there hopefully in December of this year!

Which part of the C. Beach hotel has the best view of Spaceship Earth? Also, I hear that the C. Beach hotel is so large that there are some places that are so far away from everything. Which part of the hotel is the best?

Trinidad South is far away from everything. It takes 5-10 minutes to get to OPR (the dining/merch area) from the other islands.

I don't think you can see SE from anywhere in the resort. You've got trees, then WS, then FW.

We stayed in Aruba at CBR. You could not really see Spaceship Earth, but we got a great view of the fireworks every night from illuminations at Epcot!!:animwink: :king:

You can see SpaceShip Earth from Trinidad South.

You can see Illuminations from pretty much anywhere, but best places are from Old Port Royale, Trinidad South, and the Aruba bus stop. Right across the "internal street" across a main rode, and through some trees, you can see the back of the World Showcase pavilions from this bus stop. So that is to tell you how close, and how good a view, Illuminations can be form this bus stop.

Coronado Springs!!!!Coronado Springs!!!!

My family and I stayed @ Coronado Springs this past year and we absolutely loved it! The rooms are very comfortable, the food is decent, but best of all, the pool is incredible. I would definatly stay there again.

Go Coronado

I visited my girlfriend working at disney 4 times the past 6 months each time i went to Coronado. mainly because its less busy than cbr. the busses are rarely full, youll see this when your leaving MK at night and the CBR line is easily 3 times longer.

Even if the bus fills up you wont have a long ride, its equidistant from just about everywhere except for downtown disney but you wont have to stand for that ride ever.

The food at coronado is also very good. the cafteria is good for a quick bite and they have a breakfast buffet in the morning that has something for everyone.

The pool at the springs cant be beat by any of the moderate resorts and some of the deluxe resorts. The lobby in the main enterance is also very nice, i was there in christmas time and was amazed at how well they adapterd the christmas decorations with the south west theme.

around the lagoon outside there are alot of photo ops, cactus, dry lakebeds, watering holes, stuff like that. almost as much fun as DAK

Hope you enjoy the input and HAVE FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caribbean Becah has the biggest rooms for all the moderates and is the one that was just completely renovated right before the Christmas season. Everything is in tip top shape. Cannot go wrong here.

I've never stayed at Coronado, but I have friends who have, and they did not prefer it over Caribbean Beach or Yacht Club, but did not have a bad time either. HUGE complaints though about the food court set up and tipping.

WE LOVE the Caribbean Beach, and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It really does have a relaxed AND relaxing feel to it. Plus, as other people have pointed out, it has been very recently renovated. The food court is a lot better than it used to be. Our kids loved it, too! :)
