Coronado Springs opinions?

I'm getting ready to book for a quick weekend trip in early February. The Coronado looks interesting online, but if anyone has any recent experiences there, I'd appreciate some feedback. Thanks!

We were there for a convention 2 weeks ago & yes it is pretty spread out. It took us 5+ mins to walk from the main building to building #5 all with my luggage. I probably would not stay there again as the decor was just not my style. Overall you get the Disney cleanliness & great service. My husband thought for $165.00 a night the rooms would look better. The safe barely held my wallet it was so narrow & maybe 3" in depth. I was at AS Movies last year with my daughter & loved it! Although I took notice that all the bus stops at the Coronado were covered and none at any of the All Star resorts. You'd think they would put some type of covering overhead for those rainy days. Where ever you go you can be rest assured you'll get top notch Disney treatment.

No values have covered bus stops. All mods and Deluxes do. I agree, though. I don't think it should be an upgraded "perk". I think it should be standard at them all.

CS is themed, as are all of the resorts. So is it Disney themed, no. But neither is CB, POR or POFQ...none of he mods are. If you like a New Mexico, Mexican theme, you will love it. It is fun and fabulous! :)

It has been years since we have stayed there and I know there have been busing issues in every resort lately but we never had any difficulties with the buses. We always felt like the only ones on them. It was in January.

Good luck!:animwink:

Agreed. The deluxes are also themeed--but they are not "Disney" themed either. The only ones that appear Disney themed are the values in my opinion.

Truthfully, after being at the parks all day, I don't need to go back to a resort that has large Disney icons all over the place. I like the "themes" of the mods and deluxes--it makes it more relaxing after long days at the parks.

We are thinking of staying at CS next year after what happened to us at CB this year. We have stayed at CB for the past 5 out of 6 years and I have never seen this before. My daughter developed a nasty cough the first day there. We thought nothing of it until we discovered mold in our bathroom. Parts of the ceiling were black. Needless to say we were horrified. They moved us that day to a different room and gave us back 50% of the two days we were already there. I know this doesn't happened that often but I think it is time to stay somewhere else.

I'm with you! No excuse for filth and mold. Where there is dirt there are germs and people get sick :hurl: Not something anyone wants on their vacation

Tell me about it, i was more upset to see the same mold on our air conditioner at POR. I still love POR but that was really nasty to see it that bad, directly on the ventilation no less.
