We usually stay at Pop Century but this time we decided to upgrade to moderate and split a room with friends. There will be six of us.... four in one room and two in another. Is it better to to pay extra for the preferred room or stay in casitas 4 near the pool and the bus stop? I heard that the bus stop by casitas 4 is the first pickup. Is this true and if so is it the first stop from one of the parks? Also, is there a comfortable chair in the room? One of the people in our group we be staying in the room more and needs a comfortable chair for her back. Thank you for your help.

I stayed there last year and loved we are going back this fall '11 and next christmas '12.

To answer your questions,

We stayed in Casitas 3-they are all clumped together and not very far from anything(except maybe the theme pool).
The bus stop you are referring to is generally the first stop for the busses on resort property. The one by the main lobby is the last. Again staying in #3 was not that far of a walk.

As for the chair we thought there would be a nice chair but it is just your standard desk chair and there were a couple of foot rests around. I would be surprised if this chair is comfortable for someone needing one for a bad back.

Not that you asked but the pepper market has fantastic food!!!

We love Coronado! It is out favorite moderate resort. I have stayed there a few times and there has not been a big comfy chair in my room on any of my stays there. Sorry! As far as booking a preferred room... I never have we stayed in the Casitas last time I believe in building 2 or 3 and we didn't have more then a 5 minute walk anyhere. I would just put a request on you reservation that you want to be located in either the Casitas or the Cabanas. They are the most centrally located rooms.

You will love it! The queen size beds are great, and so comfortable. We stayed in the Cabanas (no special request or preferred room upcharge) and were very happy. The property is large, but we walked it a few times and it was quite manageable. The resort is amazing, with a real deluxe feel. Enjoy!

Welcome! Yes, the bus stop by casita 4 and 5 is the first for park buses and second for DtD buses.

Depending on what you want to be close to, casita 4 or 5 are good as are the cabanas or rancho 7b.
