It's not that complicated. Most people are used to using their phones as a clock and the first thing they do when they walk into a hotel room is unplug the clock for their phone charger. You might not like it, but "can't understand / makes no sense" is a bit tunnel-visioned.

Why would they unplug the clock? There's probably a dozen places to plug your phone in. Hell, I stayed at a Marriott last week that had a phone charger outlet plugged into the lamp, right next to the alarm clock.

I found the circular layout of the resort just made for very long walks or bus rides anywhere. If you stayed at any of the others you could choose to be in the middle, or close to something.

I didn't mind the layout at all. The walk was beautiful. In the summer during downpours, I probably would have a different opinion. I would stay there again, but would not stay in the Casitas. Most boring of the 3, and swarmed with Convention goers, as was lobby area in the morning. Because of that, we're going with Riverside in July.

How good are the restaurants at the resort? Do they have a nice bar area?

They have multiple bars! 3 or 4 them. I love the bar and bartenders near the main pool. I wasn't so pleased with my visit to las ventanas (indoor bar) I literally payed $15 for a "mojito" that was basically all ice and a little mint - this is the bartenders fault, not las ventanas.

Hubby and I LOVE the quick service there. They have a great variety and everyone who works there are great.

I stayed at CSR last October. It was in a non-renovated room, but the room was still nice. From what I have seen, the newly renovated rooms are very nice. I don't think you will ever be too far from a bus stop. We had a room in the Ranchos section, while it was relatively close to the pool area (which we never ended up using), it was quite a hike to the main building. We found this most inconvenient when we got back from the parks at night and wanted to fill up our resort mugs. The service station at the pool was already closed so the main building was our only option for drinks.
You mentioned that the resort mugs can be refilled at the poolside service station. That's good to know. Did you happen to notice when the service station was open during the day? We will be there in 94 days, and I'd like to know how we can maximize the use of our mugs without having to always trek to the main building for a refill.

I believe the hours of the pool bar are 7am - 9pm.
