Corn on the Cob

I see that the Cape May Cafe has corn on the cob in the buffet. Anyone know how it is? Plus you have to call for ADRs? Is it because it's a buffet?

Meh, corn isn't bad but not fantastic by any means, it sits in a warming tray. Actually Cape May is one of my favorite buffets and I am not a buffet fan. Cape is big, as is the buffet but it has more unusual offerings than many of the buffets. Service is hit or miss for beverages and plate pick up. Their desserts even with the missing in the mist Oreo Bons are really quite good. ADRs are not hard to get if you last minute them at most times of the year. We've shown up early for ADRs and are usually seated within a few minutes. It is one of the few buffets I have returned to. Not over the top great by any means but solid middle ground.

Loves me some Mexican Street Corn on the Cob. Can't find it in WDW, but please make this if you can. Grill corn on the cob in the husk, then peel back and get a little char on it. Take off the fire, and slather with a little butter and dip in cojita cheese crumbs. Good stuff. You can mix a little chipotle in with the butter for a little heat if you're like me.

All this talk of corn on the cob made me visit our local farmer's market today so I say thank you too. :hungry:

Giggle. I went to the farm yesterday because of this thread too! Wish all Disney goodies were that easy to come by.

And on that note: If anyone lives in N. IL or S. Wisc. in Schaumburg IL, near Woodfield Mall there is a Restaurant called Seasons open for lunch and dinner. This particular Seasons Chef left Disney just a couple years ago and is now creating just as wonderful dining at Seasons as he did at the California Grill. A taste of Disney close to home.

Oh you are heading the wrong direction. You need to look West instead of south.
There is nothing better than Mirai Sweet Corn from Harvard Illinois. It is so honk'n sweet.
They will deliver it to your door in 2 days, shipped the day it is picked. We get it here a
day after. They just started harvesting. Here is a link they only ship Mon, Tues. Wed.

And at WDW the little outside market in front of the Presidents, Liberty has had corn during the summer.

Thanks for the tip sounds really good since I am also from Illinois I will check it out!!

Go to the home page of the website. Click Markets. It will give you the location day and times of the farmers markets in your area. There is one in Lisle, Lombard and Hinsdale.
