I think it's been confirmed that it is closed. If they've changed the website, it may be an indication that it is permanent this time.

If they ever do decide to bite the bullet and close CoP, I hope they warn everyone and have like a month of uninterrupted operating time so that everyone who wants to ride it one more time can do so. It would even be cool (if possible) to alternate the "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" version with the "Best time of your life" version so that people could experience both.

We all recognize that this attraction's days are numbered. As much as I love it, I would rather they tear it down and get it over with than have a building standing there in Tomorrowland doing nothing with a "closed most-of-the-time" sign on it. Same goes for Timekeeper. Just do SOMETHING with the space.

I agree either open it all the time or close it. It's not running often enough that it's worth having around. Now I love COP I think it's great but I'd rather have a ride that's running 24/7 rather than a ride that's down most of the time and just taking up spce.

WDW has a history of doing permanent closures of rides during the month of September. Horizons and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea are 2 that spring to mind.
