The 2003 Burnbauhms guide to WDW has come out. In the photo and descriptions for MK, COP & Timekeeper are not even listed as attractions! Don't know if this is a sign of the final days.

Also, I found and error when I looked at the map of Epcot. They list on the map "Mission:Space", but they put it right on top of the picture of the old Horizons building! Had to laugh at that one.

Doubt it. The unoffical guide had it of then put it back on. I doubt that Bunrnabam would have that sort of top secret info that only execs know.

Any word if COP and Timekeeper will be open in November? Thought maybe during Epcot Food & Wine Festival they may open back up.

They are both "seasonal" now. If they do re-open again, it will be during the holliday season (Last week of December, first week of January).

I DID look for it at the local Disney Store this week. I even asked if they knew when the 2003 edition would be out and they said "Oh, it's way too early for the 2003 book. It won't be out until closer to Christmas." :brick:

Now, I'll just have to go back again.

Even though it is out, the Disney Stores aren't going to be getting much new merch until after Halloween. I wouldn't be suprised if they keep selling the 2002 version until the big post-Halloween restock. You'd be better off checking a real bookstore unless you just gotta use that Disney Club discount.

I just got my 2003 at my Disney Store only because my "real" book stores didn't have it yet. THey told me it wouldn't be out till late October so I walk down the mall and Bam there it is going buy me.. Well not really but you get the point . lol

And just like raven said. no Timekeeper or CoP..

What Gives CoP is my Favorite attraction I rode on it at least 3 times in one day when i was there in August this year.

We just got in the new shipment of the 2003 Birnbaum's books for both Disney World and Disneyland at our Disney Store. Right now, we actually are selling both the 2002 and 2003 versions. Kinda weird ...

We did too. That's why I posted this in the first place. The other bookstores in the mall don not have them yet.

And YES, the Disney Stores are ALWAYS receiving new merchandise. Christmas items will not be availablt until after October, that's all. Don't know where some people here on the forum get their information but ask a cm if you are unsure.

Birnbaum's guide is published by Disney Press (part of Disney-owned Hyperion Press), although the first editions in the 1980s were originally edited and published independently by Stephen Birnbaum before he died (though even then listed as the "official" guide because Disney endorsed it). They own it completely now, so they have as much access to "executive" info as the execs want them to have....

But I doubt that they would have the info to add a new land or delete an attraction. These are the same people who left off Tapestry on their 2001 guide, so their not nessaceraly "in the know".

Also, where do you live prberk. I live in Richmond too, far west end for me...

On the fold-out map (back cover) of the 2002 Birnbaum edition they marked Pop Century & Animal Kingdom Resorts in the wrong areas. Also, their map versions of the Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom were out of date. This may be because the book is printed so early, but still it becomes misleading.:veryconfu

In the 2002 Edition they give you a number to call Pop Century. The only problem is (besides for the fact the resort isn't open) that it is the phone number for Animal Kingdom Lodge.

When I was in WDW in late April, I asked a woman outside of COP what was up with it... She told me they were redoing it. I didn't believe her :fork:

I too did get my Disney 2003 book and was saddened. I really do hope they dont shut both of them down. Maybe they'll get moved to a better place! hopefully.....It again also states that Wonders of Life may not be open in parts of 2003, just like it did in 2002.

I saw the Timekeeper in The Visionarium at TDL on the last day and it ruely is a gem. I really hope they don't close it here so I can see the English version ;). - The WeirdOne :D
