CoP no longer seasonal?

Browsing the WDW site today I noticed that CoP is not listed anywhere on the operational updates page (used to be listed as Open Seasonally). http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...ng/index?id=CalendarRefurbishmentsListingPage Anyone heard anything about it being open on a regular basis now? I want to see it soo bad when I go in January.

It will be open during the Christmas season. It is then scheduled for a "rehab" right afterwards.

perhaps this "rehab" will indeed be a Rehab and upgrade the technology... and clean the theaters rather than dormanting them and making TL look like DL's one day.....

(or gutting it secretly like they tried with TK at DLP....)

I don't think we are on the same page here :lol:

I ment I want CoP to get a real rehab where they update the current attraction, not a "rehab" where there is a replacement.

No I got it. When WDW says it's a rehab and they end up closing the ride. I hope that's not the case. It would be cool to see the current updated. I should have phrased it differently. :hammer:

Oh ok. The "terrible thought" line got me. I have nothing but great thoughts about CoP and it's future.

I think it would be terrible if it were closed. I love that ride. It's the first thing I hit when in MK. We leave friday and now I'm all excited for COP!

What source is saying rehab? I haven't heard this.

And I would be disgusted and truly ASHAMED to see the day that Disney would pull a 20K or Horizons. You just don't do that, and I wouldn't forgive them.

Mouseplanet also reports in the WDW updates:

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress – expected to remain open for the holiday season, then will go down for major rehab.

Yeah, I haven't heard about this rehab anywhere except on the forums here. Maybe just a rumor? I dunno. Someone find some good confirmation on this.

I agree, Grizz. I will cry if they close CoP, just because it would show how skewed management's view of what is important has become.

I don't mind rehabing other TL attractions (except the TTA and possibly SM, which I suppose is basically all of TL ), but CoP, you touch that and you'll feel my wrath. :fork:

Disney rehabs scare me,since they were suppost to rehab 20k with a major rehab,we all know how that turned out. Rehabed into some back lot landfill :fork: Let's not hope the same happens to COP,but with Eisner still in power,who knows what his last act will be before me leaves office. Were planning on going next summer and COP is closed,i'm affraid i'm going to be changing plans and boycott disney next summer by not going. I like most will be staying tune to these boards for future updates.

I thought someone here was a CM from Tomorrowland and they saw an update that said CoP was going through a rehab......Yeah they need to change the High Definition Televsion and Video Disc line....I still don't know how they didn't see DVDs coming out before HDTV.....
