I've seen a simmilar device from the german frauenhofer institut (co-developer of mp3) on cebit 2004

it tracks the position of your eyes and you see pefect 3d images without any type of 3d glasses.. a second camera tracks your hands and you can twist, turn, push and pull 3d obects with your hands .. very cool

A few years ago while at innoventions, while the sons were putting cell phones together, I noticed some of the "cutting edge" technology in the sealed displays. I sold some of the stuff they had in thoses displays. And it had already been upgraded. They need to move alittle faster and get things before they are released to the public.

That's been a pet peeve of mine for a while. If you go to the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas, you'll see huge, expensive displays of amazing gadgets. I can't see why Epcot can't talk Sony, Panasonic, Apple, Microsoft etc. into setting up stands to show the world their latest.

Does Epcot charge too much? Do they just not sell the idea? I have to believe there are hundreds of companies that would love to use Epcot as a marketing springboard under the right conditions.

But back on topic, I think it would be pretty cool to see something like the BRP Can-Am Spyder:

You know what i thought would be cool would be to put up kiosks in all the parks that allow you to visit and see whats going on. How cool would it be to be at WDW and see what is going on over at Tokyo disney or Hong Kong disney. If not that then just do the american parks. I know time differences play a part but still. I would use it. To have guests interact with different cultures i think is very disney. Just a thought.

There was this technology expo "Attack of the show" mentioned that made me think Disney should be getting involved in these sort of things. But then, They may have all this neat stuff, but do THEY have "DR. BENSON HUNNYDUE?" :ROFLOL:(sp?)

According to Al Lutz (so take this with a HUGE grain of salt) Microsoft will be doing something similar with Innoventions at Disneyland, taking over the entire first floor and turning it into a "House of Tomorrow" exhibit. IF this is true, it sure would be nice to see something like it at Epcot.

This new real-world technology is definitely something that could fit right into Innoventions: Xbox's Project Natal!

Looks ok but the technology is far from perfect. The commercial that you have the link to is just that a commercial. The actually technology is nothing like that. It's really no more impressive then Sony eyetoy.

Now Microsoft surface would be more like it. With this tech the possibilities are endless restaurants, customizing rides, and many more.
