cool hotel ideas

Along the lines of the OP's idea how about The EPCOT resort. Standing for what Walt Disney intended EPCOT to be, it can have futuristic themes, and maybe even some educational stage shows in the lobby!

i think an underwater themed hotel would be pretty cool... each floor or wing of the hotel could represent another level of the ocean and include a different movie theme such as Finding Nemo, or The Little Mermaid. just a thought:)

That could be very neat, but I could see a lot of upset little girls when they end up on the 20,000 League Under the Sea floor instead of The Little Mermaid! :ROFLOL:

But seriously, it would work out well. These are a few movies I can think of that would work well for themed floors:
  • The Little Mermaid
  • Pirates of the Carribean (possibly a floor for each one?)
  • Finding Nemo
  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
  • Muppet's Treasure Island
  • Atlantis
  • Bedknobs and Broomsticks (only the underwater scene, of course)
  • Fantasia 2000 (starting to push it, but they have the whole whale segment and Donald's Ark)

And also, since Disney World seems to love them, maybe the top floor could have a Hawaiian island theme and be Lilo and Stitch.

mine is a futreistic hotel.

and what would you name it?

How 'bout "Horizons Resort" or "Horiz-Inn":)

But I've always liked the ideas of a haunted mansion/ToT-like resort and the old west town by Fort Wilderness (would probably be at least a moderate like Port Orleans). And an ancient Greco-Roman theme in the place where Venetian was supposed to go would be neat, especially if combined with an underwater theme (then could be an Atlantis theme).

I think a Disney "horror" hotel would be cool maybe designed like the ToT and HM, you could make it light hearted to kids would enjoy it , all very antique and dark ,nighttime ghost stories by a campfire. Mad scientist bar. Etc. (oops didn't see Jekyll's post, great minds think alike )

dont think that it would really work

disney's purpose is to spark imagination, yes but in a positive way

for example, i had villan character training and they said the number one thing is to make people happy..you can not show negative emotions.

It seems that some of these creations can already be found in Vegas lol. Like The Excalibur (castle hotel), Treasure Island (pirate hotel), Terrible’s (old west), Caesars Palace (roman), The Venetian (well you get it), Sahara, and although it isn’t there anymore they even had an Aladdin hotel lol

But none of them have a Disney World next to them or that magical Disney touch... :(

maybe a pixar/disney hotel where you are in monsters inc sorta rooms or finding nemo like sea design...bed is like cars and you have cones at the end of the hotels that are large sorta like the large figurines at the value resorts

i unnno

Two Ideas. How about a hotel that isnt 2 1/2 times more expensive than a typical value Reort, that you can actually stay in with a Family of 6. Nothing like the AS Suites, just a leagal room for those of us with 4 kids at a more reaonable rate. Second, how about just a finished POP Century - The Wonder Years (Legendary maybe)

I am thinking Animators Palace -- could be based on a retro Hollywood glitz hotel with some cool graphics and effects throughout -- could have area similar to Disney Cruise restaurant of similar name.

I recommend others check out some of the hotels at the other parks around the world, especially Toyko. There are some cool themes and some very nice looking hotels.

I also think an Epcot-themed hotel at the entrance on the monorail would be very cool.
