conversely the least favorite WDW smell

Okay I have this one, and I think anyone that has run the Disney Marathon will back me up on it.
The sewage treatment plant, behind Animal Kingdom. You come into the area about 13 miles into
the race. It is a smell so bad, you do not forget it.
That many people, combined with unusual foods, definitely creates a lot of Poopsie Dust.

I will probably get dinged for this, but we have walked along side the castle past the smoking area, I hate the smell of smoke. I guess any smoking area for that matter. When we stayed at PoP last year we were right above and across from the smoking area.

I grew up in a house with two non stop smokers as parents, they would use it as discipline, I think they scarred me for life with it.

I’d be completely satisfied if Disney would follow their own rules of smoking policy! Or kick out belligerent people who smoke outside of the designated smoking area. I’m sick of being the AHole asking people to goto the smoking area or not smoke and then being told to go #$@%. Really Disney?
Why have a policy you wont enforce and allow Smokers that wont, make everyone else around miserable? I have no problem making a scene with people who smoke outside of the designated smoking areas. If you do it and someone treats you like an ahole, it’s probably me!

I'll do the same thing, especially if they appear to be trying to hide it. I get a nasty migraine from cigarette smoke. Though I have to say, my last few visits I haven't encountered any rude smokers. Better manners or just lucky? Hope it's the former.

I feel your pain, but at the same time many ( not all) of the smokers couldn't care less who they annoy and become rude when asked not to smoke in non designated areas. To the point ( this happened to a CM friend of mine) when asked nicely not to smoke in a particular area the smoker responded " what are you going to do about it?" And although this is rude the smoker is right, because management won't throw you out because you are smoking in a non designated area. And you can say shame on Disney, but really it's the smokers that need to be shamed for being jerks about it. I see them all the time sneaking a few puffs here and there with the butt cupped in there hand. Too often we blame the wrong people for a problem in this case it sits squarely on the perpetrator. It's " No Smoking" so don't! Is it law enforcements fault that bad guys rob banks? No ! It's bad guys doing what they do , being bad! I honestly don't know the solution except maybe crowds shaming smokers. IMHO

Honestly re: smoking; the one area that has bothered me the most is the one in Hollywood Studio. as you round the corner towards R&R and if you are at the end of TOT line *outside, that is literally all you smell. hanging in the dense humidity. its a rather large area and the combined effort of all the smoking is overwhelming. I just wave my boys on thru & won't go down that far or ride those rides.

I think a key part of your post is "..in the dense humidity". It just kind of hangs around. Different experience from the rest of the world where the air moves. Even with a breeze it moves at a slow pace, crashing into a wall of humidity and thus lingering. I really am for all outdoor areas to be smoking areas. I don't think it really matters once we are all outside, except... for Central Florida that is!

Diagonally across the walkway from Flame Tree Barbecue is a restroom. There is a grate on the walkway that smells strongly of sewer as you walk towards the restroom. It's the strongest and worst smelling one I've encountered so far in the parks. I have to hold my breath as I head to the restroom.

I doesn’t matter to you! Why should I have to breathe your smoke. It matters to me!

I have to hold my breath going through the lobby of Port Orleans French Quarter. This is our favorite resort and it is the only thing I dislike.

Can't believe it took 70 posts for someone to mention this one. Bingo.

Obviously not a disney smell, but someone loaded up a trashcan with full diapers in the bathroom by Soarin' a few years back. It was horrible

We're staying there in November. Just curious: What kind of smell are we talking about? (Not that we'll be spending much time in the lobby.)

I was rarely so happy as the day my son was able to stop wearing diapers. Emptying a full diaper pail was like opening a portal to pure evil.
