the exterior areas of Pop Century. I can stay in any other resort and never have an issue. when I stay at pop there is a sinusitis type effect that will last for days after I return home. :( My husband said it was the mulch; that it had a pungent odor.

It's not always there, but there's some kind of glossy chemical they spray on the concrete walking paths maybe once a year. I think it protects them from sun and weather, but it smells ungodly. It gives me the worst headache and makes me want to vomit every time.

I grew up in Northern NJ...land of refineries, garbage dumps and swamps...compared to that, there are no bad odors at WDW...I live "down the shore" for the past 25...there is nothing like the ocean smell...but again, to me, unless a kid pukes in front of me, there are no bad smells at WDW.

I will probably get dinged for this, but we have walked along side the castle past the smoking area, I hate the smell of smoke. I guess any smoking area for that matter. When we stayed at PoP last year we were right above and across from the smoking area.

I grew up in a house with two non stop smokers as parents, they would use it as discipline, I think they scarred me for life with it.

Walking down Main Street at the end of most days: the rotten garbage smell is everywhere. :depressed:
I can deal with the other nauseating smells as they're in areas I can avoid. Main Street is one place no one can avoid if they want to go into the MK, and it should always smell like cinnamon rolls or coffee.

Not leaving folks with the best impression there Disney.

The smell of a hot dog burped in my face......

A side note..... Will they ever actually replace this ride? Or just open it up every couple of years.........
It seems to be closed permanently. It didn't open during Easter (seasonal rides include holidays) and there's a sign that says stitch is out of the building in front of the ride. Now we're playing the waiting game of Stitch.

Not dinged for not liking smoke smell. Just that smoking section here at the the MK along side the castle was removed February 27 2015.

We stayed at the beginning of a trip at Pop this year. Where did you stay that there was a smoking section beneath rooms? Never saw that. Our room didn't have windows that opened so no issues there.
