Contemporary Sea Raycers

My brother an dI are thinking of renting Sea Raycers on our next trip and would love to rent them at the Contemporary since we're staying at the Boardwalk and there is considerably more space to move about on Bay Lake.

My question is whether there are any restrictions on renting if you aren't staying at that particular resort (we are AP and DVC if that helps)?

Also has anyone rented boats before on Bay Lake? What kind of restrictions do they place on your ability to move around the lake? Can you pretty much go anywhere there is open water (keeping clear of the boats to MK of course)?

Thanks!

You can rent them at any resort even if you're not staying there. You can go anywhere that's not marked (about 85% of bay lake), just observe the no wake zones.

I think you can get an AP discount if I remember correctly.

I'm pretty sure you can rent the boats from anywhere and don't have to be staying at that resort.

Once on the water you can go almost anywhere and most off limits areas are marked. They will tell you all the rules prior to leaving.

Lake Patrol is also there to assist on the water.

I don't think you even have to be staying on property to rent the boats lol. Not sure how old you 2 are but I think their is a height requirement for younger kids.

You also pay for how ever long you stay out. I think for the sea raycers it rented for either 30, 45, or 60min and you pay when you get back. Also the boats are not the fastest thing ever but they are still fun but incase you feel your boat is just really slow you can return it and hop in a new one, I've had to do this.

One time my fiancé an I rented a sea raycer and were gone for 45min or so and when we got back I walked to the stand to pay and the CM just said "surprise, have a magical day" handed me back my card and that was it. It was free!
