Contemporary resort

Hi we've just booked a garden view room in the garden wing in the contemporary for august 2013 ( can't afford the tower !)
Has anyone stayed in here ?

We stayed there a few years ago. We really enjoyed it and it was peaceful. We had a view of the canal that the boats take towards Magic Kingdom. We watched the Electric Water Pageant nightly, walked to the Magic Kingdom, and took the monorail to other resorts and to EPCOT. Again, we found it enjoyable.

Years ago, when my son was little, we stayed at the Contemporary, and really did enjoy ourselves. (Even saw a few stars check in for Thanksgiving) The closeness of MK, the views, and the overall feeling of staying "where it all started", really created life long memories. Have a wonderful vacation!!!

We've stayed there and it is very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed watching the boats cross the canal and could easily get to the pool. The walk to the main building for drinks/food/monorail, can take awhile. But it is a nice resort. I found the main building to be very loud, ecspecially Chef Mickey's with all of the kids. I can only imagine the cocophany on that end of the resort. It was really nice to be that close to the MK and monorail, we would book there again.

Have stayed in the old north garden wing (now BLT) on honeymoon in 85 and twice in south garden wing since with our party of 5. Absolutely loved every time. Highly recommend.

we are going to stay in the Contemporary Resort for Dec 2012. Garden is close to the tower? we wanted to stay in the Garden view room !
