I find once you've seen the show during your trip (first night for me, usually), then it's fun to try other things while the fireworks are going off.

Not long ago I skipped the fireworks at Disneyland and rode BTM while beautiful fireworks were going off all around us. It was amazing. It's great just to do something while fireworks happen to be going off.

CR is such an amazing view though. If no one has done it, I urge you to try it.

For anyone interested, it is entirely possible, if you time it right, to watch Wishes from the Beach Club. Head to the top of the shipwreck waterslide, and in the distance you'll see the castle and fireworks fairly well. Just tell the lifeguard at the top that you will be watching the fireworks and you shouldn't have any problems.

I've only ever seen Wishes from the CR and never really cared for the perspective, prefer it from the Poly. Although I've always thought it would be nice to see the fireworks on New Years Eve or the Fourth of July from there.

Then what about the Poly? You pretty much have to be staying there if you want to see wishes from the beach right? I think it's a bit weird to just post up there for that, but I can't see it being a huge issue.

We did it once and a lot of people seemed to be doing it (not to mean that it was too many and we had to fight for a beach chair, but enough to where we didn't feel like we were doing anything abnormal. There was even a miniature version of the Great Escape that happens on Main St each night. After the fireworks, a small but noticeable crowd made their way through the GCH and up to the monorail.)

We took the monorail, got there a little bit early, found an open beach chair, repositioned it a bit, and had a wonderfully romantic time. Just a bit further back were some hammocks that looked promising too. The one thing I would change though would be bringing a blanket. It was in April and while stifling hot during the day, the constant breeze coming off the water made it pretty brisk. Still a great time though and would highly recommend it!

We left out of the Spirit of Aloha a couple minutes early (durring the last song) just so we could get a nice spot to watch the Summer Nightastic fireworks from the beach. It was really cool, but I still think it was better from the roof of the CR. I could see how the Poly beach is a bit more romantic though.

I've seen the fireworks from the CR and from Wilderness Campground.
I'll have to try Poly next :wave:
