Ok, all you resort experts...we're staying at the Contemporary this April in the Garden Wing Section. Which Wing: North or South is the best...Pros and Cons??? Access to pools, parking lot, Tower, Mono rail, views of the MK Wishes, walkway to the MK. Can I request the Wing I want??? Red

Cool- we will be there at the same time and the same resort!! Garden wing and everything! I haven't stayed there before though and have the same question. I was also thinking of upgrading to the Tower Conceirge but don't know if it's really worth it. We'll be there the 8-15. When are you going?:)

We're staying Apr 2-7. We looked at the Tower Concierge as an alternative, but it was $125 MORE per night...couldn't justify it.

I was able to upgrade to the Tower. A little bit more per night. I wanted to be in the thick of it all. I wasn't getting good vibes on the Garden Wings, here or from friends. Thanks all especially Tigsmom.

We just got back 2 weeks ago from the Wilderness Lodge, courtyard view. We also went in 2001 so my kids were dying to return and did not want to try anywhere else. The theming is so relaxing, watching the electric parade from our room was special, whispering canyon a blast, the pool and slide always a hit. We were surprisingly upgraded to the concierge floor which was such a treat and convenient for snacks, coffee, etc. Miguel(cm) on the concierge floor booked us ps at whispering canyon and went above and beyond in helping us with questions, locating our lost camcorder charger, etc!! I have just ordered a number of WL theme music to play at home and around our pool. I'll never, however, duplicate the relaxed feeling we've experienced at the WL! The ferry is a great way to travel to MK. Good Choice

The North Garden Wing is closest to:
1) The pathway to the Magic Kingdom.
2) The food court and game room. Use the backdoor to the food court instead of going all the way to the main entrances (back and front of the tower).
3) The bus stop.
4) The playground.
5) The tennis courts.

There's a large parking lot in front of the North Garden Wing.
I forget if there's parking right next to the South Garden Wing.

The South Garden Wing is closest to:
1) The 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, and children's splash area.
2) The main volleyball court (There is another volleyball court hidden behind the North Garden Wing near Bay Lake).

I believe one wing (North) is non-smoking.

The monorail station, shops, sit-down restaurants, outside bar/snack place, lockers, restrooms, and water sports rental shop are the same distance from either Garden Wing.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to see Wishes from the Garden Wings. There is a viewing platform in the tower. Ask a CM were it's located. You can no longer see the fireworks from the roof of the tower unless you're eating at the California Grill.

Have fun!
