Contemporary Daybed Question

Does the couch thingy in the Contemporary room fold out into a bed? I'm assuming it does since the rooms are supposed to sleep 5, but it doesn't look like there's a lot of room for it to fold down.

The daybeds at the Contemporary do not literally fold OUT. The size remains the same, and takes the same amout of room, as when it is a sofa. It's actually very cool -- the part where your back would sit on a sofa in a sitting position flips down with a simple pull on a handle. A bit smaller than twin size, maybe not for the biggest person in your party, but fine for a skinny teen or a child.

Thanks for the quick replies. There are only going to be 4 of us in the room (2 adults, 2 kids), so use of the daybed will depend on the amount of kicking the kid sleeping with me does! Just wanted to make sure I had a place for her to sleep if I have to kick her out of my bed!!!

If they kick you as much as mine kicked me, you will be making good use of that daybed!

I assume these are the same daybeds as used at the Poly, and my teen son and tween daughter always take turns with the daybed--they find it very comfy!

Yes, I've stayed at both places and they are the same type of bed. My kids fought over who got to use it... so we eliminated that problem by booking bunk beds at WL for our next trip.

daybeds do not fold out, you use them like a twin. I'm 5'4" and not a featherweight and I have slept on them and my oldest 5'6' had no problems either ( Contemp & Poly, & Boardwalk Inn). Some places have sleeper sofas (WL suites) that are queen sized, I believe.

My aunt slept on the daybed in our room at the Contemporary last December. She's an average sized lady. She said it was quite comfy. After she left my youngest claimed the daybed and he loved it. You should be just fine if you or your kiddo ends up sleeping there. :snore:
