Since we have access to Disney thru MagicBands and the NFC cards for the parks, how long do you guys thing Disney will hold until using Apple Wallet / Android Wallet (or whatever is called this days) to access the Parks? After all these systems are NFC so is the iPhone, some Androids, Apple Watch and some Wear OS (android on a watch)...

Plus Apple is already doing something like that

Disney has already created a phone app to give us access to our rooms, so they have the tech and folk in house who know how to develop it right now.
... But, I doubt they'll develop it much further for park access for quite awhile as they'd much rather keep selling those magic bands and accessories.

Don't the POS* terminals already have a wireless logo on them, meaning it's just a backend software update away?

*point of sale... get your mind out of the gutter!

My guess at this point is it is more of a commercial decision relative to MagicBand sales and the desire to keep 100% control of the entry system. Technically it would be very doable.

They also want to keep amortizing the My Magic + investment.

I think the tech in MagicBands is really cool. They are a simple and elegant design.

I do like the idea of the MagicBands and to tell the truth, I wish Disney also sold Apple Watch Bands with some of those designs. and Not the knock off ones I seen on Ebay or Amazon.

They do and you can use Apple Pay from your iPhone at them.

The magicbands are their go-to because they do more than just NFC. They also have longer-range radios in them for identifying riders on rides for photopass on-ride photos to be attached to your file. NFC on phones doesn't allow that.

Do the hotel rooms use Bluetooth or NFC?

This is probably the biggest factor. Tracking phones is a different set of technologies that Disney doesn’t control.
