I apologise for my ignorance but do you guys know the contact number or fax number for room requests for the WL. We are going in 4 weeks and I have been informed that you have to send your room request in approx 4 days before arriving, but I don't know to actually speak too or fax details.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave!

Sorry, but I did not see your post until just now. Believe it or not - I was at the WILDERNESS LODGE last week!!!

The info you need is:

Fax Number: (407) 824-3232
ATTENTION: Room Assignor

Write and give them your reservation number, arrival date, and preferred location. We have always done very well with this. No guarantees, but at least you have a chance!

Also, if you need to call there for any reason, the # for the WL is (407) 824-3200.

HAVE FUN!

Thanks to you all I now have all the details. Knowing me I shall be asking a few more questions before I go.

One other thing, beware, I have hired a car for the second week of our trip and as I have never driven on the other side of the road before stay well clear of Orlando. Mind you I will probably end up just driving it round the car park a few times anyway.

Cheers

Dave, I rented a car in England about five years ago and drove around for about two weeks over there. The hardest thing for me to learn was where to look for the mirrors. When you get used to looking in specific locations (for me, upper right and lower left) it was very hard to learn to look in different places for them (in a right-hand drive car, upper left and lower right). Hope you don't have any trouble with it. Cheers.

Dave,

Also watch for the different locations for traffice lights and the slight difference in road signs. (That's the hardest difference, for me, between US and UK travel.) Enjoy!

Also, I forgot to mention we routinely send our room preferences to WDW 4 days prior to check-in and have always been pleased with the room selection. Once, when we arrived early in the morning and left our luggage prior to an afternoon check-in time, we were presented with more than one room to choose from.

With the new program that Disney uses to book the rooms, you can request it right when you book it. It will show on your reservation confirmation that you requested that type of room. Also, if you call to reconfirm your reservation, you can aske them if it shows on there. It should.
