Confused: Potter Music in the GMR

This does a good job of also giving titles and credits to each song.

Thanks, will check it out later tonight. Disney always seems to have really good music all around their parks (their buses, not so much, what is that music to the Wilderness Lodge. Though, if I recall correctly, they used the Harry Potter theme on the buses before).

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
This is just weird... It's like Disney saying "Oh yea, don't forget to ask where Harry Potter is and cast members tell you it's over in Universal! Make sure to check out that competition! :)"

Music from Back to the Future part 3 (a Universal property) also plays in Frontierland (or at least it used to, not sure if it's still part of the loop or not).

Thanks all, my confusion is cleared up. At the end of the day money goes back and forth I am sure. Probably all ends as a wash. Thinking that Universal has to be paying some Marvel licensing to Disney.

Universal definitely pays Disney for the Marvel rights.

It also seems that there's a rather extensive relationship between the music divisions at Disney and Universal, with Universal Music Distribution being the distributor for Disney Music Group. In other words, Universal Music Distribution distributes and markets Disney Music Group content.

From Wikipedia: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Music_Distribution)
Universal Music Distribution ... is a unit of Universal Music Group. It oversees the distribution and sales of such UMG labels as Republic Records and Island Records, Def Jam Recordings, Capitol Music Group, Interscope Geffen A&M Records, UMG Nashville, Verve Music Group, Decca Label Group,Universal Music Latin Entertainment, Universal Music Enterprises and Varèse Sarabande. UMD also handles worldwide distribution for the Disney Music Group's two labels — Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records.

And more: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney_Music_Group)
in March 2013, Disney Music Group renegotiated their agreement with Universal Music Group, in which distribution and marketing rights were expanded on a worldwide basis, as a method of incurring collaboration between Disney's record labels and artists with Universal's production department.[28] This allows DMG access to Universal's large roster of award-winning music producers and songwriters.
