Im surprised no one else has mentioned this yet. But at one of the presentations they had a few pieces of concept art/models. Below are images taken by Dateline Disneyland's Andy Castro(fan site part of MiceChat). Theres a bunch more at the links but I only included things I havent seen before, mainly models.

Course all is just that concept art/models.

AWESOME!!! The Fantasyland addition will look awesome when it's finished!! I have a feeling it'll open ahead of schedule. The progress in there currently is amazing. I'm hoping that something will open for Oct 1st. You never know. I know a lot of people will dispute me on this but WHO CARES!!! :shrug: Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just think how cool it would be to have something in the new section open on the 40th itself. I anxious to see what Disney is planning as I plan on being there for the 40th. :)

Obviously the mine cart wouldn't be open, but Mermaid and Beast are coming along nicely and there is still 5 months ~~ till Oct 1st. So lets see what happens. The new Tiki Room is really cool. UNM was blah and an insult to the original :hammer:

anywho, thanks for the great photos. I was hoping to get to D23, but couldn't afford it :-( WRE & Richard Sherman performing is what I wanted to see so badly!! :brick:

Awesome pics! I especially like the gargoyles along the path to Beast's Castle!

The castle still looks kinda teensy though...I wonder how convincing it's going to look in real life (that is, will it look like a big castle in the distance, or just kind of dinky-small like the houses in Storybook Land at DL?)

Keep in mind, there's still a ton of work to do on the interiors of these buildings. Insiders on here have stated that October 2012 is a likely opening for Beauty and the Beast and Mermaid with Storybook Circus opening Spring to Summer of 2012.

This is the part I like best:


•The Be Our Guest restaurant will seat 550 diners in three distinct areas. The main room, the ballroom, will hold 300 people, plus rooms representing Beast's art gallery and his west wing, which will have a "forboding feeling," Beatty said.

Also at BOG, "it's going to snow all year round, which will be great for Orlando," he said.

It's all exactly what I hoped for! :sohappy:

I liked hearing about the Belle interaction. We haven't heard much about this part of FLE.

•Beatty predicted that Enchanted Tales with Belle will be "the sleeper attraction of the expansion," and called it an example of how Disney is rethinking how guests meet characters. "We want to give you a 40-minute immersive experience," he said.

Really? 40min?
Surely that will include the time spent in the queue. If they actually intend to have a 40min M&G, it will be a capacity disaster.

From what you know Lee, would this be right?:

20min queue/pre-show, 20min show/greet (like older storytime with Belle)

I really like the Dumbo artwork. The original artwork shows a rather stripped down version of the centerpiece. I'm glad that a more intricate centerpiece (much like the current one) is being used. And yes.....I believe there will finally be water used in the design.

Believe it or not (to me anyway), trees are one of the best additions in this expansion. Can't wait. So many have been lost over the years, it's nice that they will play a huge park of this expansion.

Does anybody know what that train is to the lower right from the Dumbo area?
Is that Casey Jr.? Why is it not mentioned or is it only a prop without any function?
