Complicated Ticket Question

I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm wondering if I buy a 6night/7day MYW (base ticket) with dinning option and I upgrade to a 10 day base ticket can I use the remaining days on the ticket (3 days) after I check out of the resort?

***I'm going to Disney for 2 weeks but I will only be staying @ the resort for 1 week***

If you have a ticket for the parks then yes. You can use it regardless of being in the resort or not.

You can use any park tickets up to 14 days after the tickets first use (unless you have the no expiration option) no matter if you're staying in the resort or not. They will be on your KTTW cards which will also be your room keys but once you check out of the hotel, the "key" function of it will be turned off while the "park ticket" function will still be in use. Does that make sense??
