Trip Report **COMPLETED** The Tale of Two Trips (finally moving on from the PTR)

Hello everyone!!! I'm sorry for the long delay, but I am finally starting my TR :) I apologize in advance for the insane amount of pictures :) I got a new camera and took over 3000 pictures and videos! If you did not read my PTR I went on two trips in the span of a few weeks...hence the title :) I will split them in two but keep it all in the same thread. Also, I have a lot of last minute residency requirements to navigate through the next few weeks or so so I'm sorry if this takes me forever! Anyway, enough of me rambling - let's begin!

First trip!
Who?

From left to right: Me (Megan), my Mom (Mary), and my sister (Jill)

When?
March 11, 2017 - March 18, 2017

Where?
First time staying an entire trip here...the Polynesian!

Why?
I had to take an exam in Kissimmee on the 14th and I got the whole week off from work to go :) My Mom and sister came along for the ride.

It's no fun to be yelled at in Disney lol. Your story reminded me of what happened to me in Pirates during our October trip. We were in the front seat in the boat and I had raised my foot to rest on the front of the boat to show my husband the issue I was having with my shoe. Seriously, my foot was on the slanted part where you typically put your feet to brace yourself during the fall. The CM yelled at me for putting my foot there (still inside the boat) temporarily just to fix my shoe. I was like "okay but I'm trying to...." and she wouldn't approve the boat moving forward until I put my foot down. We were in the second boat so I could've been finished by the time the first boat started moving if she wasn't distracting me. I can only figure she was having a slow day or something LOL.

OMG! Thats crazy!! Who cares so long as your foot is still inside :) I'm sure they get annoyed with people all day so I can see them getting mad at silly things...its just a bummer when they do yell.

No one goes primarily for the food at Sci Fi--people go for the crazy atmosphere! I love the cheezy "horror" films they show while you're eating in your "car" at the drive-in! I find the whole design very clever.

Once upon a time I used to think Sci Fi had the best food ever :) The restaurant is the best on Disney property in terms of theming...in my humble option :) I agree its very clever !

Day 6
This morning we got up early thanks to some thunder outside waking us up. At least it wasn't baby "George" this time :p
We made a breakfast reservation for about 20 minutes from when we were ready so relaxed on the balcony a bit

Our reservations were for Whispering Canyon Cafe so we headed down :) Apparently we were now brave enough to eat here since we survived 50's Prime Time :)

Luckily we escaped with only some straws and napkins thrown at us. The restaurant was pretty dead so even the whole ketchup game was pretty tame (but did only allow one table to have ketchup at a time...and everyone had to bring it to everyone else's table :joyfull:)
For breakfast I ordered things that I knew wouldn't need ketchup :joyfull::joyfull:
I ordered the house made cheddar biscuits and sausage gravy
DSC_2968_1.jpg

I'm ashamed to admit I have never had sausage gravy before. This was so good! Those cheddar biscuits were delightful. I also got a side of bacon :)

My Mom ordered the Belgian waffle
DSC_2970_1.jpg

She really liked that too! Funny, I feel like most people here get the skillet but we went to opposite way :D
We will definitely be back someday! The one waitress taking care of people next to us said she had been working at Disney for 31 years! You could tell she really loved her job!
We headed to the MK bus after this since we didn't have any plans until the afternoon. The one CM working there said something along the lines of "I bet you get angry when you see the MK bus time keep going up!" My Mom and I, who were in absolutely no hurry, were like...no....:joyfull:
I dont have a ton of pictures initially because it started raining as soon as we got to the MK
We waltzed our way over to POTC

Day 6 continued
DSC_2990_1.jpg

So like 5 days before this day I read on WDWmagic about the Blue Angels flyover and mentioned to my Mom it would be cool to see. We actually had plans on going to DS this morning, but since we made the extra stop after Typhoon Lagoon we did not need to go back. So, this was the main motivation for our morning MK trip. Luckily it stopped raining when we got out of POTC and we went to the hub to wait for the planes! They did make a brief announcement that the planes were coming in about 10 minutes and that they would make 2 passes. Everyone in the hub was super excited! There were tons of CMs out waiting too :)
All of my pictures are phone pictures because I filmed while my Mom snapped the photos

And here they are heading back to the air show they came from :)
IMG_3071.jpg

In Buffalo we are very close to an Air Force base so we get to see fly overs fairly often at Bills games and such...but I never got to see the Blue Angels before!!! This was incredible! I wish you all could have been there to see it in person too :)
My sister Jill was SO jealous that she wasn't there since she loves a good flyover :)
After our flyover we had a nice chat with a PP CM who was so happy she got to see the planes too :)
Ignore this outfit I'm wearing, this is what happens when you try to pack while studying for boards. I hate this outfit

Day 6 continued

We headed to Buzz after this :) We waited about 20 minutes which was fine by us!

I don't know why I look so mad :p:p
PhotoPass_Visiting_MK_7997674346.jpeg

After this we headed to the Peoplemover...this is the only picture I have I guess :)
DSC_3005_1.jpg

We actually spotted @Tuvalu and @TrolleyFollower91 from the Peoplemover but when we got off we couldn't find them because it was so crowded  As you already know we did eventually meet up :) I still don''t even know how we spotted them in the big crowd!
I have no recollection of this but apparently we took a train ride after this :)
DSC_3009_1.jpg

After our train ride we did some shopping so I could get something for my new God Daughter :) I had a super nice chat with the CM in the Emporium about her grandkids. Its so nice to get to know the CMs :)
Anyway, we left after this and headed back to the WL via the boat!

Also jumping in on the love for your Sam the Eagle tank - awesome!!

Great pictures of the blue angels!!

Thank you :)

Phew! Finally caught up. :)
You and your mom had some good eats, that's for sure!
Glad you finally experienced Crush 'n Gusher. Em and I rode it five or six times in a row, we liked it that much!
WL bus to MK > boat every time.

We can't wait to go back to Crush 'n' Gusher! We plan on getting there earlier so we can ride more :) I agree bus is much better. We dont mind the boat when we aren't in a hurry but otherwise it takes too long
